If its about something such as security issues, then Yes we should know immediately if our identities are in danger of being stolen.

we might not have known that, had the member not said what you told them. You can't really blame me if other people post anything from my private conversations (MIGHT I JUST REITERATE HOW ANNOYING IT IS EVERY TIME THAT HAPPENS). Anyway, repeating something in PMs that's already been said publically isn't exactly scandal of the year. If you were being discussed amongst the mods, then it'd be about something that happened on the forum which would almost certainly be public knowledge.
(By the way, people, there isn't actually much going on you don't know, so I wouldn't worry about security issues yet.)

Yeah, it's not like we, the SS people, voted for the mods. We at least deserve to know what's going on.
I'm right in thinking it was me EnVy meant then?

We all know that Boines talks in riddles and criptics. But that does not mean he did anything.
ok, so he came into the thread to post a forum rule... Big deal, he was only showing, that if it in fact did happen, then it might of been justified.
Also Boines have been a Mod for far longer than you have, and because of that I trust him.
I'm not saying that your a bad mod, but, I don't trust you as far as I can throw you.. at this present moment. That can change, but as your not being biased then i might agree with you. and your not being Biased this present moment.

Also for a long as I can remember I have never seen Boines partake is any forum Drama. He Has always helped out.
and that is what a mod is suppose to do, not not stir the pot even more.

Not sure what you're saying - that mods should be chosen by public clamour? That the forum members should get to choose who should be a mod and who shouldn't? Might not be a bad idea.

It's a gtreat idea. We decide and Snooty gets the final say.
Mods can#t be mindless robots. They have lives as well. Their posts shouldn't only consist of "stop spamming" and "locked".

most of us were picked by members as well as higher gm/snooty agreeing. That's why I accepted because nothing was being helped by certain people and they all started asking me to be gm etc etc. It started after that because tons of members wanted other to be mod. And after gms picked from a list they became it. It's how members become mods after there was an outcry to MAKE me gm. lol And some others that got gm after me because of all the stuff I do for the forum not drama, this and that all helping the forum
Only way to get not be a mod anymore is if you ask for it. That's how snooty does it. They have to step down nobody can make a mod step down its their choice.

Untrue, if a mod went beserk and started deleting things....and it was obvious it was them, they'd be sacked wouldn't they?

Don't you think it's time for a re-election then? Or do you feel that once made a mod it should be impossible for that mod to be removed by popular opinion?

Um am I the only one who thinks the members choosing the mods is a terrible idea?
Then it could turn into a popularity contest instead of getting someone who is actually qualified for the position.

Um.. Mods were picked my the Application that they put in.
and also the Mods have to agree with they want a person as a moderator.
its not necessarily the members vote.

Snooty would have the final say. But instead of him saying, "i'll choose you, an err, you" it'd be like "So you think these 3 would be good? Well you're trustworthy..."

You make a decent point. It's perfectly possible for someone who isn't trustworthy enough to be voted into place by public clamour.

So we'd get a list of candidates chosen by Snooty to vote for? (Not sure I understand what you're saying..)
