How fine is it that threads get deleted for apparently no reason and without explanation and no back-ups are available (for example). Is it fine that mods need to have some of their responsibilities removed to stop what appears to be a rogue mod damaging the forum? I reckon that to say that no changes are ever required would be pretty short-sighted.

We're not insulting you or demanding an apology, we've clearly established that we're trying to help the forum... we were totally courteous, why are you taking it as an attack? I can't believe you're telling one of the three active moderators that can actually do their job to step down because they're offering assistance. Why on earth shouldn't I be a moderator if I have a problem with how things are run, anyway? I applied to be a moderator, to help the forum, to... you know, moderate things. I never applied to suck up and pretend it's 2005. Surely I should be expected to propose changes I consider beneficial to the place, not lectured when I try. Even just from a member perspective I'd have hoped I'd be at least listened to, I'm probably the single most devoted member this forum has had.

Well I think it was wrong to come after snooty like that, im sorry. He has a life, he has more than one site, adn he has global mods for a reason. THAT WAS WAY OUT OF LINE BONKY. And just because moderators dont post doesn't mean that they dont moderate. Boines doesnt post much, but I know for a fact hes here most days of the week, and he does a better job that some of the mods who are active.


Just because some threads were deleted, and some people are acting liek babies about it, doesnt mean we need a new administrator.Im glad those posts got deleted, this forum needed a wake-up call about all this spamming.

I like how the last time you complained about post-pumping and about how we seriously need to crack down on it, you immediately went to post in an F&G thread about how many pages of posts people have, posting literally just the number with absolutely no other content.

So is it being off-topic you're referring to? Many of the F&G threads could be argued to be useless and post-pumpy, none more than the how-many-pages thread, but how could any possibly be accused of going off-topic?

I dont care if hes picking on me. He knows he brought up something that was not relevant. The spamming and post-pumping I speak of is not in fun &games. I don't really think we need another admin. The mods pretty much have the powers necessary to deal with spam attacks and post pumping. I think some mods like boines are here more than it seems they are because they don't go on posting frenzies and do more observing than actual posting. And you know, the forum is doing fine (for the most part) without an admin, and adding another admin won't really change much.

The latest threads deleted were entirely from F&G, so... I'm not sure what you're even talking about now?



It wouldn't change massively, but at least it'd be a bit more likely we'd get back-ups now. Certain people (read: me) are very attached to particular threads and when they're just randomly disappearing, I'd like some sort of solution.

To say the forum's doing fine is fairly generous, everyone's angry at everything lately.

I don't blame Snooty for not wanting to make one of us mods admin. All we do is bicker amongst ourselves. I wouldn't trust any of us either. Well, maybe me.

Everyone breaks rules once in a while, sometimes people curse, soemtimes people post=pump, or are rude to other members, their are only a few people who do these things constantly. And the mods we have CAN deal with it. Adding another admin is unnessary and dangerous.

I don't really think another admin would fix the anger issues...it's more of a....member issue.

I wasnt talking about the latest threads that were deleted. Im jsut saying in general, all those post-deletions make up for all that spamming. Im not really talking about spamming in fun 7 games because its kind of diffucult to separate spamming from useful posts in that forum....

Backups are done at the host itself. Cpanel etc logging into go daddy, etc and seeing his info. That's the full backup your talking about right? Or you mean exportting the forum to excel, etc and saved on pc? I surely dont like that his ideal.
Also its a member vs member issue mainly.

I get angry when Mods join in on the drama, and spam. so instead of clearing it up. they contribute to it.

I get upset when people cross the line in topics and the mods would post in the topic and just join the fun. Sometimes they just let arguments continue, and after a warnign when the person doesnt listen they just leave it instead of bringing a consequence such as banning.
