 Is this good enough?
My boyfriend loves building houses. He even took CAD in high school, and he wanted to major in architecture, but he discovered he is color blind. So he's now majoring in something else. He also has TS2, but he laptop had to be reformatted. So all of his really amazing houses are gone. He's built only a few in my game, and in comparason to what he normally builds, they are mediocre. But... I am thinking of submitting them to MTS.... but I'm afraid of getting rejected! So tell me what you guys think? He made this as a farm vacation home in Three Lakes. It's supposed to look like it was build 100 years ago. It's supposed to look quaint with some dinky pieces of furniture. Lot's of space for you to bring even extended family! The house is supposed to be in "partial" disuse which is why there is a "rotting" car on the side. The little farming plots, with the fruit trees and lake The barn. So you can put your pigs and chickens, complete with butchering board on the side.

I think this house is wonderful. Love how he did the garden area. I've never been very good at creating houses on my own and always use other people's ideas so I don't end up with a bunch of square boxes in my custom neighborhood. :)

 Re: Is this good enough?
Thank you! That was very kind of you! Pretty please ignore the the big ugly white house in the middle of the picture! I still have sims living in there, and I can't move the apartment!! But this is our downtown reorganization. My boyfriend has called this "The Bronzebound" which we like to imagine used to be an industrial area of the city 100 years ago, but has fallen to the wayside, and become the slums. He's not done building yet... But on the top of the doughnut, is a textile factory apartment. I like to pretend it's like a "rabbit hole" (a la ts3) where I keep the families that will live on their community lot homes. On the far right, the building enclosed by a moat, is the Shornton (name pending) Prison. He hasn't finished building it up yet, and what you see is the "dorms". :)

Eeyore!
I can's speak for MTS but I think the house looks great! It's the landscaping detail that I like the most because that's the part I suck at. I think he did a really great job on it!
That town shot really does look like an industrial "slum" area, cool!

Oh my gosh! That's so sweet! Thanks Lola! He's so happy!! His favorite is landscaping! I'm so happy you noticed! I'm going to be uploading the houses on the side to mediafire/box and posting them on my simblr/LJ, because I know that I shouldn't be uploading houses with some of the hacks in them! This house has a farm hack, which is why there is hay. Let's just say, that I won't have the permission of the author, since it was a paysite. And on MTS, that wouldn't be allowed! I'd link it to the website where the farm is from, but I know that nothing is allowed to be uploaded unless duly credited. Which I will! And I'll make sure my lots are clean! But it's hard for me to upload a lot that is a farm with no farm, right? If you really want it, I'll upload soon! My boyfriend actually wants to delete this house! It's not up to par, he thinks.

I really like it! MTS is a bit tricky. I've uploaded a few houses, and here's what I've gathered from uploading.
Try to get a final version and stick with it. Upload it, do the pictures, etc.
Now, they'll tell you what's wrong if they're being picky. DON'T MAKE ANY OTHER CHANGES. Just do what they say.
With that, you should make it though. I think it's a great looking house though! Good luck if you do upload it!

Thank you, Swat! Are they usually very picky? Because I know that they try to maintain a standard, which I appreciate, but makes it very difficult to become a creator...

You'll get the hang of it after a couple uploads. I mean, they maintain a high standard, so make sure you've read their guidelines, because otherwise they will boot you for random stupid little things. But for the most part they are usually honest and provide constructive criticism. For the most part, with this one, I REALLY like what you did and think it definitely has what it takes.

 Re: Is this good enough?
Oh my goodness! You're making me and him so happy! I love, and really appreciate your comments! You are so wonderfully kind! Since it's the summer, and we both work, it's hard for him to continue construction... He built up most of Bronzebound in a few days! We live in the same university, so it's pretty easy for him to pop over and build. But we are very excited! All of everybody's kind words have gotten us so happy! The kicker is, he wants to delete this house, since he thinks it's just "okay". But I'll upload this one on the side, because I like it so much! If anybody is interested, I can take pictures inside of the other buildings in Bronzebound. He made a particularly wonderful Community Center.
