I decided to re-install my sims 2 and I wanted to download some CC from thesims2.ea.com.

I download some fine, They downloaded, I double clicked and they installed. Easy.
i went to launch my game and an error code came up. I looked up the info for the code and it said because I had downloaded the game from the EA download manager, i probably just had to uninstall and reinstall. So I did :)

While I was there, I decided I would buy Free Time.

After they had both installed I went to re-download all the CC i had downloaded beforehand.

But now after they have downloaded, they go into my actual downloads folder, not the sims 2 one. When They download from the site, i double click the file and nothing happens to let me install it.
So confused since it let me download everything fine before I had to uninstall/reinstall.

Any ideas?
(I already have CC enabled in my game, so that can't be it!)

Get the clean installer and install things with it; the one that comes with the game is faulty IMO...
