 Re: System Requirements Discussion
- Windows XP Home Service Pack 3 - 4GB RAM (only 3.35GB is registered, though a full 6GB page file) - Intel Pentium 4 3.06GHz CPU - ATI Radeon HD 3650 512MB AGP
My average FPS is like 13. Playable but a little stuttery. :/ I'd assume because I only have one CPU. My computer is like.. 7 years old now? But it was really good for its time and has worn well over the years with consistent upgrades. I only recently got the RAM (had 1.5GB before and The Sims 2 was really slow with that) and the new graphics card so I'm happy at the moment but it's only a matter of time before I snap and buy a brand new computer. xD
Oh and I'm having a pretty bad overheating problem. I have 2 or 3 fans in the computer already and one on the side, but I need to have a desktop fan blowing on it constantly while playing The Sims 3. It gets so hot it literally hurts my hand to touch it, unless I have the fan on it. :| That.. seriously can't be right. I think my PSU is 550W or something, but it's about 2 years old now, so maybe it just needs replacing from "old age"?
Generally, I'm running the game fine with my average computer, though. (o uo)b

 Re: System Requirements Discussion
The processor should be able to run the game, not sure about the graphics card.

Let's keep this discussion in the other topic you started. No need for 2 of the same topics in the same forum viewtopic.php?f=21&t=31589

 Re: System Requirements Discussion
I just went and talked to the company where I'm getting my laptop at and they are offering me a free upgrade to Windows 7 from Windows Vista...will Sims 3 still work with Windows 7? I wanna do the upgrade but I dont want it to interfere with Sims 3 considering Sims 3 was released several months ago and Windows 7 is just being released and might not be compatible.
