Post Day 3 creator camp you can now wohoo with ghost
This is from edenstyle. You can now wohoo with ghost and have babies from them,You can buy properties and change them example you can buy the movie theater.

The Sims 3 Creator's Camp - Coverage

14 January - Day 3
Hello all, I'm so excited about the game, there are so many things I would like to talk you about...
-Yesterday I joined CAS tips and tricks. Sims are more realistic and there are tons of sliders to modify their appearance. They showed us some great screenshots, with perfect shades. The good news is that they made them directly in the game, they didn't used any external tool to make Sims more realistic, like they used to do for Sims 2 (expecially for packages). About custom content, you cannot modify Alphas by default, but the CAS guru said that hackers would be able to do it.
-We don't have a new race, but there are ghosts and you can have babies with them.
If you have many people in your family, then you'll start with more than 20.000 simoleons.
-Good Sims can donate to various associations, like Kleptos anonymous. Evil Sims can donate to undermine those associations. For example, my evil Sim had the option to donate to undermine Underprivileged Llama.
-Example of interactions evil sims can do: evil shower, evil slumber, steal candy from a baby and scare baby(!!!).
-I discovered few things about babies...
*Furniture: highchair, potty, xylophone, crib (like the one we had in The Sims 2), canopy crib, 3 toy boxes (they can also play inside them), Toy oven, Building blocks table and few other things. The changing table is no more there. You have to click on the toddler to change diaper or clothes. If you have the highchair, you can feed toddlers with the same food you prepare for the other family members, but you have to use the food processor before.
*If you click on a toddler, you have those interactions: change diaper, change outfit, feed on floor, pick up, snuggle, teach to talk, potty train, tickle, teach to walk, toss in air. Some traits give you more interactions. For example, evil sims can scare babies.
-Parties: to give a party, you should use the phone. Then a window will pops up and you'll have to choose the starting time, the dress code (formal, casual, swimwear) and the guests. I've been able to invite 8 people.
-Services: firefighter, police and adoption services are free. Pay services: Babysitter ($25/hour), Pizza delivery($30), Repairman ($50/hour), Maid ($75/day), Magician ($400).
-When you adopt a baby, you can choose the sex and the age (newborn, toddler, child).
-If you click on a restaurant, you can choose to drink/eat there alone or with someone else. You cannot enter the restaurant with your sims, but you can see them if they eat outside.
-You can become a partner of a business lot and share the profits. If you have enough money, you can own the entire lot. The owner can rename the place, fire people and collect money.
-You can collect seeds, insects and rocks. You can unlock Collection Helper with lifetime happiness points. This tool you'll be able to locate collectible items on the map.
-If you burn the stove, then you can replace it by clicking on it and choosing "replace". It costs simoleons, of course.
-Example of Lifetime Rewards: fast metabolism, discount diner, join theatre events for free, Fertility treatment for twins and triplets, fast skill learning, vacation days, super attractive, teleportation.
-The beverage machine is very cool. You can make tons of beverages similar to the ones you can find at Starbucks. For example, you can make White Chocolate Soy Frathuccino with Banana Swirl.
-Sims with few Logic skills can browse the Galaxy with the telescope and discover celestial bodies. When my Sim found a planet, she received few simoleons and had the opportunity to name it. In Logic skill journal you can see a list with all the celestial bodies you discovered.
-You can discover other sims' traits, job and partner while talking with them.
-Frugal Sims can find coupons in the newspaper.
-Computer Whiz Sims can do these interactions while using the PC: solve the unsolvable, play chess, hack and overclock.
-If you tinker on some objects, you can get some upgrades, like fireproof, self cleaning and unbreackable.
-While you play with a teenager, sometimes you can find a lifetime wish between his normal wishes. If you like one of those, you can lock it and it will become his lifetime wish.
-Teenagers can get partime jobs by clicking on the business lots. They cannot join the normal careers. Elders and adults can get partime jobs too.
-Kleptomaniac can swipe, but only if they are not watched.
-Toddlers, Children and Teens get a new trait at their birthday. If children had a good childwood, then you can choose a trait. If not, the game will give them a random one.
-School time: 9am-2pm for teens and 9am-3pm for children. Sims who have not completed their homeworks can stay school longer. Students performance is influenced by mood and homeworks. Students that sleep in class or cheat homeworks will receive detention and have to stay a school.

I suggest you again to join Edenstyle fan page at Facebook to make questions, read the answers (you won't find all of them here) and receive Creator's Camp updates before the others.

From the sims resource there is some kind of seed that can ressurect your sim, there is also one that prolongs life and the grim reaper is still in.

Just time to throw something completely new into the mix!

The Sims 3 has a Party Planner for your Sims! When a Sim uses a phone to throw a party the Party Planner screen pops up. Here you can choose which kind of party it should be (currently just House Party or Birthday Party), the day and time the party should start and the dress code. You can opt to have all your sims arrive in casual clothing, formalwear or swimwear. Then you just add the friends you want to attend in the invite list.

Of course not all guests will turn up but later in the game you can acquire the status of "Legendary Host", guaranteeing that all of your invites will be gratefully accepted with attendance guaranteed.

Party on!

Sims 3 has gardening! Really, detailed gardening! The gardening system is huge and quite similar to Sims 2 Seasons, but you know what? Sims 3 had it first! Of course we didn't know about it because it was so long in development, but the Sims 3 team developed the gardening system for their game before the Sims 2 team took it for their EP.

This is evident early on in your game when creating Sims as the Green Fingers and Loves the Outdoors traits lend themselves perfectly for Sims who wish to tend their gardens, grow their own fruit and vegetables and spend quality time in the great outdoors.

Sims can collect fruits and vegetables as they explore the neighbourhood. These can then be taken home and either used right out of their inventory for cooking great new dishes, or they can put them in the refrigerator so the whole family can make use of them. Alternatively, plant these gathered fruits and veg at home to provide a crop for the family, or to sell at the local "Everfresh Delights" supermarket.

Some of the harvestables include the apple tree, lime tree, grape vine, watermelon vine, bell pepper plant, wild garlic, lettuce plant, onion plant and tomato plant. There are also some rare flowers including the death flower and the life fruit. A sim in possession of a death flower at the time they meet their untimely end are able to deal with the Grim Reaper who will gladly take the death flower instead of a Sims soul! The life fruit can be used to extend the life of a Sim, but if used in cooking to make a quality Ambrosia, it can be used to bring ghosts back to life.

Planted fruits and veg can be tended, weeded and watered. Sim gardening skill levels increase as they study or practice gardening too. Plant and harvest quality can be improved with fertilizing, a by product of all that fishing your Sim can engaging (rotten fist seem to do the trick). Fruit quality can be perfect, nice, poor, foul, putrid or horrifying! The rarity of certain plants also adds value to them when selling at the local market.

Its perfectly possible for a Sim to make a comfortable living from their gardening skills, meaning they can become a recluse and life their quiet little life at home!

I hope that throws a new play details in your direction, its certainly new to me and I haven't seen it mentioned before in any of the previews. I've been playing the system today, picking wild garlic in the graveyard (well duh) and looking around fishing lakes for rare flowers. Loving it already!

Sunset Valley is packed with locations that Sims can visit, use, work at and more! These include Papyrus Memorial Library and the Sunset Institute of Modern Art. Lets look at some others in more detail.

The local hospital is called the Sacred Spleen Memorial Hospital. As well as this being one of the work locations which Sims attend (the medical career kicks things off with the Organ Donor job), they can also attend for other reasons. Pregnant Sims can visit the hospital to have their baby if they choose, and later down the career path, Sims can come here to donate organs! There are apparently several body parts that a Sim can donate, their spleen being one of them!

The dead centre of the neighbourhood (pun intended) is the Pleasant Rest Graveyard. Sims can visit to mourn loved ones and engrave an epitaph on their gravestones. They can visit the mausoleum and even get a part time job here as a grave digger! They can also pull fish from the graveyard pond!

The Wilsonoff Community Theatre is the workplace of Music Career Sims, but they can also visit for a tour of the theatre, to watch a movie, or attend guitar classes. Hogans Deep Fried Diner is a great place to go and eat or drink alone or with other Sims. You can also visit here to join the Culinary Career and attend cooking classes.

Something new to me (and most likely you) is the fact that your Sim can buy into the partnership of these Community Lots. It's costly (around §7,000) but your Sim will then earn an income from that Lot. They can then go on to buy out other partners until they eventually own the business (at a cost of around §20,000). One you own the company you can rename it, fire the staff if you don't like them and make use of its facilities for free, so free food or books or movies. You can eventually buy up many or all of the properties and have a Monopoly of the town, but given the huge expense this would be something you might aspire to later in Sim life when you have lots of funds and fulfilled many wants.

So that's a huge update on Community Lots. Back soon with a great new topic I've been experimenting with all day!

Post Re: Day 3 creator camp you can now wohoo with ghost
Here is one that was just updated answers a lot of questions that so many people are interested in.The sims resource also did this updated one.The only place you can wohoo is in bed bummer, fireworks during wohoo have been replaced with falling hearts, ceilings can't be recolored, babies can't ride in cars however sims can hold babies while socializing,Ants can carry off your food at picnics and so much more.

Answers from previous questions that I didn't have answers to previously...

The Picnic Basket is very basic. Your sims can carry it around, sit on it, and eat.

At this time, it is not possible to woohoo anywhere but the bed...including the cars.

Also at this time, you cannot recolor the cieling.

Pregnancy Outfits have a single outfit for each category. I was told that you can change the 'textures' of those clothing items, but I think my game was buggy and wouldn't let me try it.

There are 35 to 40 different food recipies.

'Call to Meals' still works and is functional.

Pregnancy is still three days, regardless of life span.

You cannot change the infant's blanket, but it is pink for girls and blue for boys.

I asked about supernatural creatures, and all I got was you can have a playable ghost with a little work and even make 'ghost babies'. These 'ghost babies' will be ghosts, but can be turned into real life sims with a little work as well.

When your expecting mother is heading to the hospital to have the baby, if you so choose, no one else will follow. She will give birth alone.

Third Day of Playing Notes

In Elders, you can select the amount of age detail (wrinkles/age spots) that you want.

Based on the personality traits of your sim that you choose, you get a set of LTW's based on them. You can pick with LTW you would like to strive for.

There are quarter squares that make it easier than ever to center everything. Meaning, your love seat can now center on the TV.

The fire alarm is lower, and I was able to hang a wall lamp above it. I am not sure that you can put wall hangings about it though.

Sims can put more than one food item on a single countertop tile.

Just because your Sim cooks themselves a plate, doesn't mean they will eat it. Some will automatically eat it, others will not.

You can donate money to different foundations based on your personality trait. This will give you good moodlets.

Old folks and extremely large sims can run.

There's a community spa where you can get a facial, manicure, pedicure, or massage.

Sims can take classes to learn skills much faster than reading or doing.

Some moodlets last days, hours, and even minutes.

Plants around town and in your home can be harvested and used to cook with.

You can choose a voice for your sim.

There are now 4 speeds of gameplay.

There's a child playground, swing, and slide.

Clutter! Need I say more?!

When you fatten up your sim, their neck and face fattens as well.

On the easel, there are three sizes of paintings.

On a computer, you can: find coupons, browse the web, play chess, play computer games, tinker, and get a job.

There is a Party Planner that allows you to set the time for your party, the location, and the dress code.

When you are socializing, there is a small pop up that tells you what the other sim is thining about your 'socializing'. You are irresistable, moving too fast, hilarious, boring, etc.

Ants can carry pieces of your food away on the picnic basket.

The more often you prepare a meal, the better it gets. Practice makes perfect.

Default CAS is a YA.

Stubble automatically comes with beards or without.

MY FAVORITE PART: You can buy a Rubber Ducky for your bathtub and bath bubbles, and have a Bubble Bath and play with the ducky. (...this is coming from an avid Rubber Ducky Collector.)

You can put any texture, anywhere, on anything.

You can choose to buy a furnished or unfurnished house.

Sims can prepare meals on the corner coutners now.

Depending on traits, sims will sing in the shower.

There are too many new interactions to name. You can discuss things your sim has done, books they have read, and movies they have seen, etc.

No more fireworks during woohoo, but falling hearts.

After my sim woohooed with the townie, she went to the bathroom, and he got on his cell phone and called someone up and was talking about my sim.

You can invite Sims to spend the night at your house.

Neat sims have the option to 'clean house' or 'clean house until pristine'.

Frugal sims can recycle.

Showers go bad and produce bad moodlets with cold water, stoves go bad and produce undercooked meals, etc.

When a sim pulls leftovers from the fridge, they only take a plate for themselves.

Preggos can visit the hospital for 'Medical Advice'.

Babies do not appear in the cars.

The Maid played with my baby while she was at my house cleaning.

Sims can hold babies and socialize.

Food can go bad in the fridge, and must be cleaned out.

Some houses have challenges when you start them. Like a broken water main where everything requiring water is shooting water out across the house.

Houses have difficulty levels based on the age and number and amount of sims living there.

Baby Sitter no longer 'tracks schedule'.

Sims can have gardens and eat the food they harvest.

That's it for tonight. Tomorrow, I will check on these things that have been asked and I don't have answers for:

Clouds, Funerals, Underwear Section, Career/LifeSpan, Job Title Limits, and Lots

Edit I just found out she answered some of my questions on my guestbook. These were answered before she went to the creator camp.

Hi, and welcome to TSR. 8] Hopefully, I can answer some of your questions. As of right now, the only interactions a sim can do in the pool is swim. I believe that the pregnancy cycle is the same, but I am not sure if chaning the lifespan length changes the pregnancy length. I would think it wuold, but that may get buggy. Sims can go on dates to restaraunts and other various community lots. I believe the toddler is the youngest sim to leave a lot. I have not seen any hot tubs in Sims 3, and I am not sure about Romantic Interactions in the cars. The cars are so basic. They don't back out onto the road. They just disappear and appear on the road. I doubt there are any interactions in them. Sims cannot hold hands or kiss or hold each other while walking to my knowledge. I am not sure that you can play the townies. I think they are the same as in Sims 2. I'll have to try the picnic blanket out tomorrow, I am not sure what all they can do on it. There is no heartbed or walk in closet from Sims 2. You cannot woohoo in the showers, and I will check into recoloring cielings. I've not tried that yet, either. I don't think there are group outings. There aren't any personals on the PC or Newspaper. I will also check into the astronaut career. I don't think you can call your spouse at work because when a sim goes to work, they go into a 'rabbit hole' type thing. Sims cannot text on cell phones. There are pony tails, but I think they're kind of crummy. They aren't all for medium lenght hair cuts. I am not sure what you mean by 'relaxed breakup'. In CAS, everyone must be related by being roomies or direct family. You can't make cousin or girlfriend/boyfriend. The entire household must also share the same last name.

Some of these things TS3 doesn't have seem very basic and annoying that they're not there. Like recolorable ceilings, different surnames in CAS, and changing the color of the infant's blanket. I hope these are things that will possibly be added by the release date? And I hope they add a diving board to the pool.

There's nothing too exciting in this blog, but having ghost babies sounds fun. As does playable ghosts. Maybe that's what Mrs. Crumplebottom's husband is, a playable ghost.

The sheer scale of detail in this game is too much to handle. :Astonished:

I agree, there seems to be so much you can do already in the base game. I think it'll keep me occupied pretty long, and before I'll know it, the first expansion will be coming out

These details are so realistic too. Like ordering coffee, it's just something small like that that can make you feel more involved with their world.

Some things are a bit of a dossapointment because they are not there. However as stated the game is very buggy, so my guess is that the reason some of the obvious things to include are not there is because they are yet to get that feature up and running. Something like recolourable ceilings sounds simple to implement, yet depending on how exactly they want to do it that feature could become to big to complete before the games release.

i guess it all comes down to time, After all one bug can delay production emensly.

Edit:
I also think that if they werent going to be done there is a much greater chance of those things being added now. They are going to be getting feedback on the game so they are likely to hear stuff like 'the roof should be recolourable' from those on the fan camp. Well we can guaranteee if its not in the base game it will make it to an EP.

Actually the diving board and pool ladder are base game objects. Seasons brought back the slide didnt it.

They couldnt tell us absolutely everythign even if they tried. After all there is just so much to this game, all these little details which you cant possibly come across all of them in a few days. And of course there are bound to be things which will be finished and added in at the last second.

IMO I think that they let them play with a demo they threw together so that there will still be new surprises when they play the game for real. It seems to me that there are way too many bugs and glitches to be the true game. It's too close to Feb. 20th to have so many bugs and still try to release it on that day. So I think they hid the real game, but what ever the case, I really like the sound of it so far.

I was thinking two that they couldnt possibly be playing the game in its current state. It is very likely some of the things they are saying are missing have been completely and implemented into the game.

I completley agree.

Um, Will Wright has nothing to do with the Sims franchise these days.

They aren't using the 'real game'. I read somewhere that they were actually given an older version during their time at EA Redwood.

Also, since you can have babies with ghosts, and there's a flower of life, you can probably turn the baby ghosts into sims right? Would the baby ghost stay babies?
How do you think it would have to happen, I mean would the mother have to be sim? Or the other way around?

I'm so excited! (although I'm probably not going to do much concerning ghosts)
I'm going to have to do quite a few chores before the 20th if I want to get my hands on the game anytime soon though....

I've become so numb, I can't feel you there.
