So there's alot of speculation about today's downtime. According to SimsVIP and the official forums (before it went down), alot of people think that it's very possible we'll be getting the social features patch along with the site update. Obviously you can't simport without Showtime or get some of the achievements but if the new "Mypage" and the social features are connected, it would sort of make sense.

I can see how sharing memories and badges and achievements with friends would work now even without Showtime being released. It would be neat if in fact today we get to log in and experience some of these features (for those of us looking forward to them that is) haha!

the big update was just an update for "My Page" probably the game update will come someday this week. and also those people that don't have Showtime will be avaible to collect achievements and badges just like any other player, the only thing they can't do is to use Simport..
