So we've been in the back half of the expansion/stuff pack releases for a year or so now, so what do you think the remaining packs are going to contain before TS4 is released?
Keeping in mind that EA have registered domain names up to EP10 and there's room for 19 more icons on the TS3 launcher, how many more expansion and stuff packs do you think will be released, what do you think they will feature, and how long after the last one do you think TS4 will be released?

I'm pretty much convinced that TS4 will be announced at E3 2013 and then released in late 2014, which leaves room for 4 more expansion packs for TS3. From the info we have, EP7 is all but confirmed to be magic and EP8 looks like it will be seasons.
Based on some of the surveys EA has been doing, they're thinking about vacations, university, theme parks, farms and reality TV. I think university would make a good EP9, and a proper vacation-themed pack to end the game with. Different from WA in that they'd take place in generic locations (beach, mountains and snow please!) and there'd be stuff like actual hotels. It'd also mirror WA quite nicely, being the first and last expansion packs released for the game. University would work really well given the open world, you could properly explore the campus instead of being confined to a single lot like TS2.

EA have also been hinting at a teen-themed stuff pack, so that'll probably arrive somewhere on the line. A sports-themed SP would probably be made to compliment a university-themed EP, and a party-themed one to go with Seasons (which will hopefully include holidays and festivals and such). I threw Mansions and Gardens in there because it was an awesome way to send off TS2 and some new plants/flowers/rocks/etc. would be nice.

Wow have we really got that many expansions to come?
I thought we where nearing the end of the expansions
and that we would have the dreadful wait between the last expansion pack being released and the sims 4.
Or maybe they will just keep giving them to us til the sims 4 is released, hope so!!
I want University so bad, i wish that was the next one.
But i like this creature/magic ep that people think will be next.

The original Sims had 7 EP's. The Sims 2 had 8. Based on that, I expected 8 EP's for TS3. Since we already have 6, that would mean 7 comes out in October/November, 8 comes out in March/April 2013, TS4 is possibly announced at E3 (whenever that is)... so maybe there could be 9 or 10 this time. Jack, I think I will just echo your predictions, although I hope you are wrong about the magic EP because that doesn't interest me at all.

You've got the dates, and the first two stuffpacks (obviously) and probably the strongly rumoured magic themed pack, but other than that, we can't really predict anything at all. I do hope you're correct however!
