 The Sims 3: Commemorative Edition
Alright, just went onto EB Games website to check out whether Ambitions was (finally) avaliable for preorder, when what did I spy but The Sims 3: Commemorative Edition. The fourth version of the Base Game to come out, it'll be released the same time as Ambitions. Includes: 48 Page quality hard-backed book Wall poster Sketch book of artwork Access to additional digital assets The Sims 3 PC game ...that thing that looks like a sticker sheet with plumbobs on it, if you take a closer look it's actually a build-your-own 3D plumbob.

They'll do anything to tack on a few more dollars to the original price (as if the base game wasn't expensive enough)

Re: The Sims 3: Commemorative Edition
They would make a lot more sales if they offered all the commemorative stuff without the game.

SMH It's the kind of stuff that will be entertaining for about 10 minutes, then all of a sudden it's lost somewhere in a desk drawer never to be seen again.

Re: The Sims 3: Commemorative Edition
Blah. I hate it when companies do that. Who is going to buy the commemorative edition? If I was new to the Sims games and was going to buy TS3 a full year after it was released, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't buy into the "commemorative edition" crap and pay extra for it, I'd just buy the regular, cheaper game. And it's true, that stuff would be cool for a minute, then it would be packed away and looked at only when you had to re-install the game after new patches come out. Actually, I'm just jealous. I want a plumbob.

Re: The Sims 3: Commemorative Edition
It's listed as $108 Australian dollars, which is the same price as the Collectors Edition is over here at the moment. I'm guessing it'll be $60-70USD.

I know that I'll see it in EB Games... try to resist buying it, but end up getting it just because.

Re: The Sims 3: Commemorative Edition
I'd only get it for the book. Everything else isn't worth it.
