Post "The Sims Studio" vets teaming up on a new project
Sorry if this doesn't quite turn out to be that Sims related, but developers etc. from The Sims Studio are moving to EA's Salt Lake City location to work on a "groundbreaking new project" with some online multi player aspect.

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6252509.html

I'm hoping that by groundbreaking and online they will have bridged the online gap between consoles

Edit: On second thought, it might be some form of player content distribution similar to what we have with TS3 now

oooh, I hope its something like TSOnline, I never had the chance to play that. although PS3 already has an avatar, walkabout type community where you can talk and customize a room, so idk....

Simcity Societies ≠ Simcity 5, because Simcity Societies had no number in its title, so therefore it is just a spin off of Simcity.

I'm kind of hoping it's something like The Sims Online because I miss it ):
But I did like Simcity Societies, I found it fun and fitting with the Sims sandbox genre.
But I'm growing tired of Sandbox, I need objectives ):

I am kinda hoping for a 1st person game. That would be really fun. Imagine if you took GTA4 and morphed it with TS3... okay maybe not as fun as GTA4, but for a sims series it'd be really cool, right? :spin:

I'm not sure if i'd want to experience my sim on the toilet.
Although some sims spinoffs for consoles such as 'sims castaways' centres around one sim you control in that sort of way.
So maybe.

Offtopic: Swat, if you're a fan of GTA, Rockstar is bringing out a game just like it but set in the wild west, called red dead redemption - i'm so hyped up for it! :)
