They might still include seasons and weather in this pack too.

If the rocket ship is a hint. What carousels are they referring to? This could mean we might be getting a science expansion pack with biomes and climates. I could imagine tropical, temperate, desert, snowy, etc.

Seeing as one of these "hints" were also for a non Sims 3 expansion pack. Perhaps we'd be getting another stand alone title much like The Sims Medieval, except in space.

Post Re: The Sixth Expansion!
Has anyone heard that this next EP is the second most demanded game from the community in the Sims Franchise? Some lady was talking about it on the Sims 3 website and I just wanted to stop by here and see if anyone said anything about it but I haven't. She was just a regular member but I don't know where she obtained that bit of information if it is indeed legit.

That would be none other than Seasons. I really truely hope Seasons is next. I know the pattern, but they could also change the entire theme of the EP which they would because remember gardening was a big component to the Sims 2 Seasons. A big one. I'd rather see a "Outdoor Life" or the "Great Outdoors" EP that can combine the seasons options, weather and then a bunch of things to do in all these seasons. I wouldn't mind some Holiday parties either.

I just hope they come hard with it. Bring this together to bring us swimming in the ocean (if not the lakes too), new pool toys like the diving board for god sakes, maybe sleds or snowmobiles, more gardening tools and options, maybe even do I dare say it? Skiing? Snowboarding? Tanning? Camping? New Careers? Find ways to incorporate new careers into exiting rabbit holes. Pets coulda had a vets career that was tied into the Hospital.

All of these in one EP will be epic and will bring the Sims 3 up to par with the Sims 2.

The Sims 2 Seasons forever changed Sim Gameplay and stradegy to a whole new level of complexiity that is lost in the Sims 3.

The only way I won't be dissapointed about waiting for this type of EP untill fall would seriously be a new EP theme that is completely groundbreaking and incredible. Not a crappy Generations style EP.

I see what you mean. That pattern may just be coincidence. But I've also heard that the next EP is very "guy-oriented", which I'm not sure what that means (hell, we already have breast sliders xD) but I'll be lookingforward to that one reguardless.

Where did you hear that? Care to share to source :P ?

I personally don't believe in the pattern. I think it was just there to save their sales incase an EP flopped. This would make sense because they could release an experimental EP and then release an EP that would guarantee sales. A perfect example is the Generations --> Pets release.

I wanna say SimPrograms? I'm not positive. But of course, it's WAY too early to speculating. But we are looking at a Jan. 26 release date.

Guy orientated?

Well if we're too believe good ol stereotypes that probably means a sports expansion. Now your sims too can lounge about watching the big game and ordering their wife in the kitchen to make them a sammich.

Really though I hope they didn't go into making an expansion saying "Now how do we get more guys to play the sims?" That would be stupid. :/

Yeah... Especially considering that there's a pretty even amount of men and women playing The Sims.

A while after I posted that I was a bit worried this would come up. I suppose I assumed it was going to have more female players. I'm a guy myself.

The last report on the male/female ratio was 40/60, so it is sort of even.
Although compared to other games, The Sims has an enormous female fanbase.

Enromous is an understatement. Because I bet just generally the ratio Guys:Girls is like 65:35. And I'nm just pulling numbers out of my arse, and being stereotypical so don't gang up on me.

There's really nothing to be worried about. TS3 is truely unisex game. I personally have no shame in saying that I play this game... Especially when I show off my uber-mansions to my friends.

I don't have any shame in saying I play it either. I just figured that it would be one of those games that was unjustly shyed away from by guys.

Although if I was to be ashamed about anything it would probably be because I go back to it even when the bugs drives me batty. :p

There lies the shame! LOL I'm a guy and been Simming for 10 years. Personally, my favorite thing to do is build houses, lots etc. I always wanted to be an archiect but didn't wanna learn the math. (It's funny because years later I went for Atmospheric Science, which is ALLLLL math, lol).

The Sims is definitly a unisex game. The only idiots that would make fun of guys for playing it are the ones that find anything somewhat femine to make fun to prove to others they're straight because they're so worried about it for whatever reason. LOL

My reaction towards an EP geared towards males: "Ewww!!! We don't need that."

Seriously. I can't think of anything that guys would like which would work for this game. All they want is violence. Or sports. Sports are cool, but they wouldn't work in this game. EA would much rather you go buy NCAA Football/Madden NFL 2015645456465 instead.

Speaking of Sports, I love how EA made a psuedo football/soccer field including bleachers in Appoloosa Plains... As soon as they add sports to an EP, I'm making it functional.

I would love to see a sports and recreation pack. Basketball and Soccer need to come back. Maybe the inclusion of Football and Baseball? Cricket and Rugby might be nice too.
