 Sims 3 University
It can be kind of similar to real life.
TODDLER
CHILD -private school option --------*must impress headteacher, and have enough $$$ for weekly tuition per student --------*private school offers more opportunities, new amenities (ex. field trips, homework help, etc.) --------*Do well (no lower than a C) in school, or you will be kicked out and parents will have to pay a fine
TEEN -college prep --------*need to have a good resume to get into college -----------------#Community service - opportunities can be found in the newspaper for things like.. being a candy striper at the hospital, or having a fundraiser to give books to those in jail. basically, interesting, non committal jobs w/o pay -----------------#Grades - You need at least a C to get admitted anywhere. And then higher for a more selective college. -----------------#Part time job (though community service will look better to a college since it's more selfless) --------*can visit tour the 3 colleges beforehand -private school option --------*get automatic admission into the bottom 2 colleges --------*a teen who mostly got As in school as a child, and comes from a non-rich family can get a full-scholarship to private school. if the teen mostly got Bs in school as a child, and comes from a non-rich family can get a half-scholarship --------*must impress headteacher, and have enough $$$ for weekly tuition per student. --------*private school offers more opportunities, new amenities (ex. field trips, homework help, sports teams, etc.) --------*Do well (no lower than a C) in school, or you will be kicked out and parents will have to pay a fine
YOUNG ADULT -College route --------*your resume & financial status can result with you getting a half scholarship, sports scholarship, etc --------*college experience is similar to sims 2 university, but BETTER --------*actual "school" places are rabbitholes, so it excludes places like dorms, and other hangout places --------*weekly tuition (if you can't meet it, you get kicked out) -----------------#You can even live at home and go to college, it's slightly cheaper! --------*the length of college is individually based. some people can zoom out halfway into their young adult years, and others will be there til the end of their youth. --------*PRO COLLEGE:through college, a sim can end up getting a job of a higher position from the start, because they got the right credentials. they also get paid more -No college route --------*it's harder to find a job, as you need to submit resumes for those too
ADULT ELDER
Edit: Hahah I'm really tired so I can't finish right now, but I'd like to know what you think of this so far.
Btw there would be atleast 3 colleges. one in the city (small & highly selective), one in the outskirts (big & easy admission), and one near the beach (medium & you guessed it, slightly selective).there will be rivalries, especially against sports teams, who will have games against one another.
ok omg goodnight eyes so hard to keep open lol

I like because it would give more depth to have your kid do their homework from beginning... atm I don't really see the point with her getting best grade except getting a boost in mood and more lifetimerewardpoints faster... I still get her to do the homework but I don't really see the point of it...

I really like your ideas for a Uni EP! It got annoying in TS2 but I think your ideas would make it more fun and realistic. It is still one of my favourite TS2 EP's.

 Re: Sims 3 University
Definitely a possibility. I like your ideas.
Some things to add: College should be less age-restricted - adults and elders should also have the option to take degrees, and sims should be able to get multiple degrees if they're so inclined (and can afford it). Some brilliant teenage sims may also get the chance to attend college. There can also be part-time degrees, open-university-type courses (completed almost entirely at home, mostly on computer, and reading some books/journals, and costing very little apart from basic equipment) and shorter-term courses (the difference between these and the classes from rabbit-holes if they'd be more job-performance orientated than skill-orientated, though there would be some skill improvement too, and they'd involve some sort of research and dissertation, or regular homework). All of these would be compatible with part-time and full-time jobs (with variable hours depending your sim's schedule, meaning the length of the courses can also vary). And for YA+ that have a bachelors degree, there's the possibility of post-grad study, which would vastly improve their job position and pay (but would also be very expensive). Postgrad studies could also have a part-time option like the undergrad studies.
The EP could also see the return of the barrister counter and extra sports equipment, like the soccer goals and basketball hoops.
