Atm I got a sim family of 4 sims, a sim that loooks sorta like me, a wife, a child duaghter and a baby son
I had to use a cheat on the daughter cause she wasn't happy during toddler phase (everything is so xpensive)
To come to the point I want to know the following

1)How do alliaviate bladder of a baby
2)What the job that pays the most (both of my sims are now in law enforcement
3)can story progression be turned off or is that still not fixed

1. You have to let the baby soil its diaper and then change it to alleviate the hygiene issue.

Well, when first starting off in a career, the highest paying job is in the military at 280 daily and then law enforcement is the second highest paying. and if your sims go the forensics way then they'll get 1,985 daily once they reach the top (that's the highest paying by the way) and then the special agent way gives 1,704 daily at the top. either way law enforcement pays higher than other careers.
