I've been having this problem for a few months now. In fact, I posted a question about it a long time ago. But nothing seems to work. :/

Anyway, when I'm trying to install CC or even a stuff pack that I bought from Amazon Download, I get the same error message "Please make sure your game has the latest software updates and try again."

I've checked my pc have installed every update offered.

Another odd thing that has happened since this problem is every time I turn my pc on, EA Link tries to update itself to a 5.0.....version. I've uninstalled EA DM and reinstalled a couple of times. It doesn't fix the problem.

I've tried googling the solution, but nothing has worked.

It's frustrating. I've spent some $$ on the CC, and I would like to use it.

Do you have anything more than basegame? You may have an updated EP/SP and not updated basegame, or vice versa. Try this tool from MTS to check for this problem. It's a standalone program, so just download it, and then run it. http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=409829
