Hi, both me and my girlfriend are having the same problem.
We download a world...
install it fine.

then we load it up in game (new game)
it says welcome to 'world'
before the loading bar can get any further it closes down the whole game.


could we get some help please? :)

Are you sure that...

1) You are patched to the latest game version?
2) ALL your games / eps / sps are updated to latest version? Check with this tool, The Sims 3 Patch Downloader
3) Most importantly, do you have all the required EPs for the world?

The last one is most important. Because I have tried installing a world before without needed EPs and I got that situation exactly.

okie. does that include store items

my game has the latest update.

i suppose if it says your game needs an update they actually mean go out and get the stuff pakcs. cant see any other reason. the site does not ever mention with packs u actually need for it

Store items don't count. If anything they are replaced with a similar object when the world is uploaded. You should never need any store items to upload and play a world. Although it might mean that the world doesn't look as nice, CAW creators should feel free to use as many store items as they want.

I think that if you search on wikipedia, it has a list of the latest patches. Double check that with your launcher I suppose.
