Post Moving sims 3 files to another computer via USB help?
So my bitch sister lost my sims 3 disc, and i was wondering if it was possible to simply open "The sims 3" through documents, copy all of the files to a USB, and load it all on to my new computer without having to install the game again? Please help, Thanks :smile:

There's a shit load of files and stuff in the computer's registry that you can't copy over, so as far as I know it you can't just copy over the files in the Programs folder because they need all the registry stuff to recognise it as an installed program.

EDIT:
Wait, did you register the game? Because I'm pretty sure that EA have a feature thing that if you lose a game you can download it off the EA site as long as it's registered under your account.

Like what Draik said, it is possible to download and install it with the EADM. But personally I'd suggest you download it from Pirates on Ebay as the digital download version of TS3 has SecuROM, not to mention the EADM itself. However with a ripped copy of the physical media, there is no SecuROM.
