Post Can I Scream?
So I added a mod... pfft... bad idea! When I went into my game again my sim sidebar was missing so I used reset sim.. whoo... not? Some of the members re-appeared but my brand new triplet toddlers are half-there, half-not. In the sims relationships area, the toddlers are now named different - removed from the family relations so now they are strangers - and I cannot add them back to my family by cheat coding.

• The parents are away on a free vacation.
• Two teens are living in my household currently.

I am more mad at my toddlers going poof! I've wanted these girls for a long time and I finally got them and now my game glitches.

• Removed the mod.
• Removed the packages folder (to the desktop) from my game to see if it would work.
• Deleted game caches.
• resetsim(s)

Nothing worked!

PLUS when I go to save the family to the library bin or share them (I'm trying to save them anyway I can incase my game decides to be extra stupid) and it goes to the processing circle bars and locks up on me/freezes so that I have to crash my Mac in order to get it back to desktop. I don't know if anyone can help me, but I wanted to share my frustrations and if anyone has had the same problems I'm having.

What IS the mod, it might be incompatible? By the way, with MasterController(which is a mod) you can reconnect sims to parents and siblings.

Auto romantic socials that I downloaded from modthesims and the person who uploaded the mod said it was compatible with generations and the newest patch. There is still no change so I enabled the cheat codes and went into CAS and saved them individually to the bin folder and shared them as uploads to the sims official site. They are "saved" I guess in a sense, but I'd still like my family back. :/

Toddlers don't show up on the sidebar panel, but they are still in the house. They get renamed something random and lose the family relations. Trying to add them to the family doesn't work either. Never will I download a mod again  ! I made sure to delete the mod and any caches or extra bits that might still be lingering. It seems it does try to get better every time I start the game back up. At first I didn't see my toddlers at ALL my first run after I deleted the mod and cleared the caches. I tried moving the family out of the house onto the clipboard and it froze at the processing plumbob-thing and it forced me to crash my Mac. I found it interesting when I triggered the age transitions on the toddlers to YA's they were basically NPC's?? How freaky is that? (one was a bouncer, another a mixer and they left the house)

It's not the mod, I think the fact that this happened once you got the mod is pure coincidence. I had the same problems three times in a row, once I had babies/toddlers and then saved and exited the game. Once I got back in, I've encountered the same problem with the kids. This first time I was mod-free. Uninstalled, reinstalled.

I said what the heck, if the game is buggy already, lets see what happens. Second time was with a few mods from NRAAS Industries, Twallan's mods. Played for a while, same issues with the kids. Also, saving kept giving me the Error 12 a lot. At some point, it became unplayable. Uninstalled, reinstalled.

Third time (hopefully it's the charm), with AwesomeMod. Pretty stable. No kids errors, on to generation 3. Error 12 still pops up but only rarely.

My point is... this thing can happen even without mods. I blame Generations. If I have to reinstall once more, I'll just skip the damn EP until they do something to solve it. It's by far the buggiest. :(

There's actually a new patch update now... It could also be incompatible with that. But I also believe what roshky is saying.... I have never had a problem with my Sims game until Generations came out. I didn't even experience a lot of the bugs that LN had.

Offtopic: I never play with mods but awesomemod sounds.... awesome! It actually sounds like it increases the quality of the game, roshky, if you're actually getting less error code 12 (?) problems with it installed.

@Scryer: I actually think AwesomeMod is helping my game stay more sane. I started using it since WA came out, and since then I NEVER had a problem. I reinstalled once when Ambitions came out, and I forgot to put AwesomeMod in right away. Played for several hours, got a ton of errors and game crashed... it was the first time it wasn't working right. Then I put AwesomeMod in and everything worked perfectly. Since then, I never played without it until Generations came out and I installed it hastily without waiting for AwesomeMod to come up to date. Then all that mess happened.

If you have the patience to follow the instructions to install it and are sure enough you can make it work without help from its forum (filled with smart-a**es), I highly recommend it.

Later edit: Oh, and I NEVER heard of Error Code 12 until it started annoying the crap out of me now, at Generations. With this almost disappearing after I put in AwesomeMod, I really think the mod somehow contributed to this.
