I have a new Sim named Don I made in CAS. He is in his own friends list, which is very Twilight Zone-ish. He can also call himself on the phone and chat. It's him, not just another Sim who looks like him. How do I get rid of this? Thanks.

I've had this happen before too. I can't remember if it was due to the settings I made for the mod I used to use or if that's how the game was built.

You made the sim in CAS, then before you moved him in he got saved in the bin. If the game wants to move in new sims into the neighbourhood, it will pick both randomly-created sims AND sims from the bin. You play the game with Don, and the story progression thingy was stupid enough to move in yet another copy of Don. Your Don met Don 2.0 somehow and befriended him.

You can get rid of Don 2.0 by moving him out and deleting him from the neighbourhood. Just go to Edit Town, find where he's living, and Evict him. Don't place him on a new lot, leave him on the clipboard because he'll be deleted when you go back to your game. To prevent this happening again, the easiest suggestion is to delete Don from the bin. Your game will not suffer from this, you'll just not have a saved copy of the original Don.

Other suggestions imply finding a story progression mod which has customizable settings about what sims the game can move in. I have no idea where to look for that, so I'd say stick with the first idea.
