The guy doing karaoke who just so happens to be GAZING AT THE SKY doesn't seem too happy that his girl's off with someone else!

Re: Render Girl. The One and Only.
omfg. The famous Render Girl pose is an actual pose in the game. Which means that at some point she was in the game and those bastards at EA took her out of it.

Although, Jack, we do know she was in the game, as she was in a few of the original screenshots in the original (since trashed) version of Sunset Valley.

Re: Render Girl. The One and Only.
That was just green-shirted Rendy, I'm talking full-on, pink and purple shirted, our-one-true-divine-Goddess version of her. They actually have all the poses from that original render set, like the cowboy, the jock and the old angry lady. It's weird to think that it's coming up to four years since the flood of TS3 info was starting to appear.

Re: Render Girl. The One and Only.
How'd you find/get these poses and how do we access them to use? o_O I always loved playing around with poses in Sims 2... especially discovering stuff I'd only seen in beta screenies and whatnot

There's a pose box thing you can download on MtS that basically just catalogues and lists any custom poses you've installed, but there's an option to import an EA pose similar to the way the fog emitter from Ambitions works. Anyway, I found a list of the names of the EA poses and was fiddling around with them and BAM, my sim pulled the Render Girl pose. Much screaming ensued.I'll poke around a little more when I get home from work. Hopefully Sky Gazer's signature pose is hiding somewhere out there.

Re: Render Girl. The One and Only.
Pretty random but, I'm sure I created her in TS2 once... and of course, TS3, back when it was actually working on my computer.
I'll tell ya one thing though guys, hate her or love her, she would of been 10x more interesting than half of the pre-mades in TS3 currently.

Re: Render Girl. The One and Only.
Spode wrote: Lucky Palms has some pretty interesting characters. Still, defeats the purpose. The pre-mades should be interesting from base game, as a means to attract newbies into the game, because some people do prefer playing out the already made characters first so they get a hang of the game, and get used to the different types of characters they can create. You don't really see many 'model' or 'cliche' types of characters/families in The Sims 3, while in The Sims 2, you had Pleasantview. In Pleasantview, there was the typical 'perfect' family, that, under the surface, wasn't so perfect (Pleasants), the gold digger after the richest guy in town, with her sister, who seems to have more brains and is more focused on lust (Calientes), etc, etc. It just gives the game a bit of character when you first play it, and it allows, sort of, memes within the Sims community to come around, which really creates a sense of community. Personally, I could just never really connect with the families in TS3 the same way I connected with the TS2 pre-mades.

Jawsh wrote: Personally, I could just never really connect with the families in TS3 the same way I connected with the TS2 pre-mades. Oh thank God, I thought I was the only one. I'd pretty much memorised the families, sims and backstories within two weeks of owning TS2, but I still don't have a clue who anyone in Sunset Valley is. I think it's because there weren't those 'cliched' characters like the Pleasants, the Goths, etc. which has made the world so less memorable. It doesn't really help that they've been shoehorning in characters willy-nilly from TS2, like having Kailyn Langerak pop up 20 or so years too early, the Calientes for no reason in particular slutting it up in Barnacle Bay and (possibly the least creative one of all) Don Lothario being 'sent back in time' to appear in Riverview.

Re: Render Girl. The One and Only.
I was so in love with the TS2 premades. No secret (Dina Caliente fanderp here) but I never ever got into TS3 characters. Barely ever touch them, not even the recreations of TS2/TS1 premades. In fact, I really dislike how they were remade in TS3. They feel so butchered.
Another thing I like about TS2 premades, is that you can tell the creators put a lot of effort into the characters. The neighborhoods would greet you with cute backing stories and pictures, and when you'd load up their house, it actually seemed like they were played with for a long while.
Whereas in TS3... you load up a premade family, and it looks like they literally just moved in.
aww, I also remember being so obsessed with the "beta" TS2 families that were always used for screenshots before the game released. I kept hoping they'd end up in the game lol. They were basically "draft" versions of the characters we ended up with, but still, even if I ended up liking the TS2 premades we were given, I really liked the beta characters.
