It seems to be a community object for use anywhere you like.

Re: Big Jaw Dropper (A bad thing)
I also have to point out the fact that if all the zoomed out map graphics were brilliantly crystal clear as they are zoomed in, most of your computers couldn't handle the load. Then only people with extremely high end machines could play, and people would be whining about that. QQ less and then then remember that you still are intending to buy the game or you wouldn't post this stuff. As for the Eiffel tower thing, well it IS the American symbol of all that is French. You ask an American to describe France and most come up with the tower. So of course they are including it in promotional shots, and it's going to be pretty prevalent in shots to define France. Whether or not we can go into it or stand next to it.

And we all know how relatively small the max NH size is. Now compare that size with the size of France. Now compare it with the size that the Eiffel Tower and surrounding buildings take up. Sure France could be done so that the Tower looks exactly as it does in real life, but thats all there would be room for. For that reason the Tower and buildings have been greatly downsized. Which would you prefer realistic size or playable size. As far as i can tell the Tower is not even the attract of France but is just there to authenticate the destination as being France as i am sure you would all majorly go off if it was not there. We should bare in mind that the game is based on real life destinations not a replica of. chaz_g wrote: And i agree with (whoever it was - i forget) The people at EA HAVE TAKEN COURSES TO BE ABLE TO MAKE THE GAME FOR US! That's their JOB, I mean, I know its a completely different type of game, but some games like... assassins creed 2 or anything for ps3 really have outstanding grahpics. The sims seems to just be staying where it is... or for paris - taking a step BACKWARDS. Trust me - If i COULD do that myself I WOULD! Then i wouldn't have to give money to ea for making a cube of graphics Yes that would have something to do with the fact that most Sims players are one not on the PS3 and two do not have a PC which would run PS3 equivalent graphics. Hence the lack of graphic improvement. And i doubt it will ever improve as a fair majority complain about spending on the store and additional packs i wouldnt dare assume them to purchase a $5000 computer. I totally understand what you're trying to say - but if this excuse was used all the time, the whole gaming industry would be going nowhere! I mean, other gaming companies don't say 'oh we have this great idea and we WERE going to make it great graphics, but people won't want to buy a new machine, so we'll just make it half good' Its an excuse. No more

No more I would like to say its so for this franchise. Yet we are a whiney bunch who are just looking for something to complain about, and lag has always been one. We are not like most gamers, a large majority of us are just playing on a typical home computer nothing designed for gaming. So of course the develpoers need to cater to their target audience, high end graphics is not likely to draw in players from other genres so therefore it is likely to not be a good investment. Think about this for a second. People in the community complained about the current graphic setting running their computer slow. Now think of what it would be like if the game was given vastly larger environment with better textures and lighting effects.

I guess you are mostly right =[ But i still feel that it is not the best reason for not improving the graphics. It's pretty much the same graphics as the sims 2 FOUR YEARS AGO with only a few improvments. Yes a few is more than none, and YES its gameplay that counts, and YES lagging is bad - but i still think that good graphics help it be a more believable world.

TS3 does make quite a few graphic improvements which lift it very much above TS2. We have higher poly counts, high res textures, better shading, bloom effects amongst other things. Perhaps people are forgetting what TS2 looks like. The Sims 2 (Four Years Ago) The Sims 3 (5 Months Ago) Wish i could have used some more similar images, yet i couldnt fins a pic from TS2 which you could see the nothingness that was the surrounding street, which i wanted to put enphasis on. Not only is there a graphical improvement but there is a whole heap of more eye candy beyond that of your home which your computer is also handling.

You're over-exaggerating, they aren't forcing you, and neither am I. But I for one will buy it because the game is boring as it is, I just play it because I want to get done with my legacy.

At the very least new families move in and there are always Service Sims to have babies with.
