Doubt it'll be a new death, can't see simmies getting ripped up by crocs getting past teen raiting. It'd be cool but can't see it.

Not to mention isn't the Nile fresh water? Fresh water crocs don't attack let alone kill humans. I think there is one report of an 'attack' in Australia and the guy walked away with a few scratches after he stepped on the poor thing. It's the salt water ones you worry about.... yeah useless aussie knowledge

'If' that's true, I demand a crocodile pet :spin:

And death could be simply done in a Teen rated way. They don't need to be "ripped up" to die from a croc. They could simply be dragged under water away from your view while they do thier nasty work, and then your sim comes floating up or something. If they're purely on the land though, I can't really imagine any type of death animation

---

After looking through that link provided by Draik, there is no way in hell I would trust that "not to attack me cause it's a fresh water croc"

If they make a death from a croc, I suppose they would have you stand on the croc's head, the croc would snap his head upwards so the sim got pushed upwards, then the croc would open it's mouth and the sim would fall into his mouth in one gulp. cartoony enough I guess

Actually they said that the crocodile will be like an object. So maybe just his head on the water surface will be visible...

I wouldn't expect anything great. This is not a pets EP so I don't think many of the creatures will look to be much. This is EA after all. [That gets said way too much around here, if only it wasn't true]

Probably because cowplants are not remotely real. Crocs on the other hand people would find offensive somehow, saying laughing at a sim dying by croc is sick because people die from them in life?

Or because some people are really sensitive and want things done their way?

Everyday the sims gets tamer. Someday they won't even jump in the shower for fear of being suggestive that they are naked.

I think Simus is right, you guys are all looking into it too much - the crocodiles will just be 'ambience objects', something i think their isn't enough of. I wouldn't want a crocodile pet, but spotting him in a lake will be a nice welcome.
I always thought they should have squirrels etc in the basegame for ambience. ;P

Offtopic: There are birds and bugs so far in the base game. I wish they would add in raccoons and squirrels, things that would make the neighborhood feel alive with wildlife.

Offtopic: True there are bird, but i wish they would land in the trees or on fences and stuff, it is possible because i once had a game called 'the movies' and the birds would often come down and sit on the flagpoles and stuff :)

I wouldn't mind about larger animals (raccoons, skunks, deer, etc) being in a pets ep. But squirrels and what not would be so nice ^^.

The bugs don't count, they look rediculous, and they're for collecting! not for veiwing! :D

They should also have rabbits in the empty feild type areas... theres enough of them

As long as thier isn't some stupid penguin that suddenly decides to walk inside your house to watch your sim play/work on the computer :pissed: That really started to annoy me

How is that different from watching a sim drown? Granted we know that crocs wont do much now, but my question is still valid

I've always wanted wildlife. I thought more would come in a pets expansion than stinky skunks. Hopefully with the open neighborhood, Squirrels will be apart of the picture. :D

I agree, I sorta prefer animal objects to actual pets. I've always wanted to have buyable animals you can just put into your lot and possibly name like the teddy bear. I searched for a buyable skunk or penguin in TS2 but was never fulfilled.

Uh, where did you hear that lie? You do know that freshwater crocodiles account for some of the largest and most vicious crocodiles on earth? Just because the saltwater is the largest, doesn't mean the freshwater ones aren't the second largest

The Nile Crocodile is responsible for more attacks on humans than all other species combined

And you say fresh water crocodiles don't attack humans :XD:

This is a Nile crocodile...
