Has anybody wanted to build an apartment? Have you gotten stuck because of that stupid "sorry Homeowners association BLAAH BLAAH BLAAH!!" crap? fear no more for i have an answer!

Here are the steps to making an apartment complex -

1. go to the edit town screen
2. open the cheat window
3. type in "testingcheatsenabled true"
4. now open the box again, enter "RestrictBuildBuyInBuildings off" (you must enter this in EDIT TOWN!!! DO YOU HEAR ME?)
5. now go to an empty lot.
6. Open the cheat box again. (yes i know, its a bit tedious)
7. Type in BuyDebug, a new hidden sub section will show up in the "sort by function" area of buy mode.
8. Go through it until you find the "metropolitan building", you should be able to place it because of the Restrictbuildbuyinbuildings off cheat.
9. Make sure you have a big lot.
10. You can now build walls inside the shell, and make rooms for apartments. :D

A. Yes, I assume you can make your OWN lot an apartment (since an apartment is just a residential lot with a few markers here an there.) unless if I'm wrong. XD
B. Yes, you can BUT only in certain apartment shells.

Ooh yes! I found a cheat that allows you to edit and create inside a shell! XD Type in "testingcheatsenabled true" then go to the Edit Town screen, and type in RestrictBuildBuyInBuildings off, and you can place walls, stairs, elevators, new rooms.! This makes me so happy. The lobbies in the apartments are sooo fugly. Time to do some extreme makeover apartment edition.

where does one find the shells for making an apartment?
I found only 2 in buydebug mode, but they appear to not work... or i'm doing something wrong... i thought there were more than 2 building designs?!

i think you can only edit existing ones, unless you try that cheat when placing an apartment from buydebug.

They do work, actually, you're probably not using them right? I dunno, moving on, there are more than two, but EA - being the greedy fucks they are - locked them away to never be seen again, until someone modded the game to unlock the hidden apartment shells: Here.

I was pondering this, i figured i just wasnt fiding them, or you could only get 2, guess i was partially right. 36 more apartment? I thought there were only like 6 different types.

You're right, Hunter, there's only few apartment STYLES but they're given a different color scheme which adds up to 36 or whatever's the full amount.

Dayyym. Why have EA hidden all of these things?! How are we supposed to urbanise other NHs when they do this?? This clearly shows they aren't actually caring about the creaters/builders anymore, and only the livemoders... ¬_¬

Typical EA. now i just need a mod so that vampire eyes dont glow, and for fuller clubs. Time to go search!
