I don't know about "completely stoked," but this is definitely a welcome addition to the game. The wiggling cocoons (babies) in this game are so boring and you can't even tell what they look like. One day will be plenty in my game, too!

God I know, babies will be nothing. I kinda like the current life stages. But I think I'll make kids a bit longer, idk. O'll have to see. But i'm basing it off the 90 day cycle, and tweaking from there.

TOO COMPLICATED!) Offtopic: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3236592/TS3/Mods.zip that's my mods folder, download it and zip it open and put the aweconf.package and awesome.package in the mods folder in the same way as in the zip file. You might want the nointro too, it makes the game start faster. My config file for awesome removes confirmations like "do you really want to save the game?" though, so if you are clumsy you might want to make your own here: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/ts3/a ... config.php Picture of my config: http://awesomescreenshot.com/0cfbrii39
You might want to skip the awestring-se.txt though, unless you are Swedish.I'm really looking forward to decreasing the time of the regular "baby" stage. I think that stage totally suck...

Babies are so going to only have 1 day for me. Perhaps 2 but that's it. And I'm going to extend the child age. It always seems too short to me. This will be great.

OMG!!!!
Ok honestly if they release the setting the number of days per age group feature to non-owners of generations I will love them... Though I will probably gave in and buy it anyway. I mean after all, it doesn't emphasize rpg as a main feature which is good enough as a reason to support it. I don't want to buy rpg focused eps because I don't want to encourage them to make more. And the day care profession could actually be fun.. You could have like 5 children and toddlers running around your house and you can have toys and waterslides out for them to play with.
Edit: one last thing, that video of the sims wedding that snooty posted on the front page was awesome <3

yeah some people think it would be boring, but interests me more than any other the professions that came with ambitions personally. Idk looking after wild kids just sounds so fun. Maybe I could lock all the children in one tiny room too...

Whats the point in adding a babysitter job now...I barely even watch my own kids in the Sims, why would I want to watch somebody else's kids.

Re: Expansion Pack 4: The Sims 3 Generations
I'm getting so pissed off at the developer's answers to questions. Every answer is the same. "We've added a ton of new features" is just a way of saying they've added a couple of new things but using an empty word like 'ton' makes it seem like there's a lot more. "You can do anything, from ___ to even ___" instead of actually answering a question. And the worst is "we wanted to focus on developing the features instead of concentrating on a new neighborhood." I'm like bitch please. None of this is gonna be worth the money, I know it.

Re: Expansion Pack 4: The Sims 3 Generations
I think the repeated "You can even add hair to your male sims' feet!" response is the stupidest. It seems as though they have a list of pre-approved responses to fansite questions that they use instead of taking the time to respond properly.

Well, of the seventy-five questions asked, I saw about ten responses, and they were just repeated. It's ridiculous. And I know what you're on about, it's like they think they're suddenly brilliant developers because they've came up with the mindblowing idea of adding hair to sim's feet. I don't even want that, it's gross.

Re: Expansion Pack 4: The Sims 3 Generations
There was a question in there about diving boards and they completely brushed over it, instead talking about tree houses. And when swimming in the ocean was brought up, they boasted that sims can now build sandcastles, something that is completely useless without swimmable beaches, because there's isn't really any point actually visiting a beach until they can use them.

All these canned answers that never address the actual questions make me think all the EA developers have a future in politics....

Politicians and actors got 1 thing in common: they say what they need to say in order to get paid Guess I can throw in EA developers in that sentence too...
