Does it have _____? No! But we do have treehouses!
Well how about _____? ...no, but we do have a water slide that is NOT for the pool!
Okay, then what about _____? Nope! But we do have the daycare profession!

Re: Expansion Pack 4: The Sims 3 Generations
Although I am looking forward to Generations, I think it stinks that they showed Sims in a high school chemistry lab but there's no such thing in the EP. A home chemistry set will be fun but it's NOT the same at all.

Just read that Q/A and i agree about the answers are definatley prewritten. Its' so annoying! I can't stand how EA avoids questions and just talks about something else.
do we get diving boards in this ep? No No you don't. That would suffice, not AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME THERE ARE TONS OF STUFF FOR SIMS TO DO OUTSIDE LIKE CHECKING OUT THE TREEHOUSES!

Re: Expansion Pack 4: The Sims 3 Generations
Yeah honestly they have done so much advertising of sims in schools over the years, even since the beginning of sims 2 when they used fridges to look like lockers! Why do they do that? You know your company is unreliable when every picture they release has people in the forums saying "i wouldn't get your hopes up, it's probably staged." Also about the questions... they are just so ridiculous. "Is there a new neighborhood?" "This ep is focusing more on the sims themselves, not on a neighborhood, or opened schools, or opened proms, or opened boarding/military schools, or retirement homes for elders, or new things to do in the pool, or sports, or new skills, or new families, or new food recipes. It's about rabbit holes, and lighting bags of poop on fire!!! This is ground breaking stuff we are talking about! " The only really gameplay changing thing they added was a daycare profession. It just seems so lazy, especially if they are trying to sell this for 40 dollars! I mean come on. Yes, children will be 10 times more fun now, but the other age groups just seem too ignored for an ep based off EVERY age group.

Re: Expansion Pack 4: The Sims 3 Generations
I always hate interviews like that because they don't spill anymore information then they already have. I'll read the 75 questions for shits and giggles.
But I am still excited for this EP! I am building a school for my world and leaving a few classrooms open for a chemistry lab.

Re: Expansion Pack 4: The Sims 3 Generations
How do you build your own school? And you can make rooms that sims can actually go into in them?
When this is sold for 20 dollars, I will probably buy it. 40 is a huge ripoff, They are sucking away peoples money and giving them so little! Late night was glitched and destroyed apartment living, but at least it added substantial features! It actually tried! This ep probably took a quarter of the effort of any of the 3 eps before it. So much of the stuff that was added isn't even visible! new schools aren't visible, prom isn't visible, ballet class won't be visible, normal school isn't visible like it was made out to be in two photos.. I'm pretty sure dating is just a group outing with a heart over the sims instead of the outing symbol.
Yes the children have lots of fun things to do, but even they still can't play instruments!

Re: Expansion Pack 4: The Sims 3 Generations
i'm building a community lot with a rug that makes it a school. It looks similar to the school but there is a gym, cafe, library, art room, computer room.. stuff that sims can use. Some of the rooms are just blacked out with the LN hidden room marker.

Yes the children have lots of fun things to do, but even they still can't play instruments! Yeah... However, I will say it looks like this EP was trying to answer the fans' demands, the big issue, however, is that little effort was put into it, so it still fails to manage even that. =/ Who wants Dates that can only take place in the same stupid restaurant rabbithole, who wants their Sim kids/parents to disappear off of the map, and who wants Proms and Graduations that take place in a rabbithole? Seriously. I know a lot of people are happy for this EP, but can they not see that EA's pulling the same stuff on us... Still adding little and demanding a ridiculous amount of money for it? There are things in Generations that I like, but the things that could have been major features were either completely absent (University) or reduced to a dumb rabbithole (dating), and they just can't expect me to happily hand over $39.99 for this amount of effort. I hope their patch somehow gives us everything that matters in this EP for free. lol About the interview: That was easily the worst interview I have ever seen them do. Instead of answering the questions, they used the answers to hype (sometimes completely unrelated) features that the EP has. And yet their answer to "Can we finally bathe babies in Generations?" was blunt: "Why would anyone want to get rid of that new baby smell?? No baths for babies in Generations." That answer has to make me question if the people who work at EA has ever had a baby. Not that I have either, but... really...

I am excited for this and all, but the interviews don't tell anything new. Is there diving board? No but theres an awesome new treehouse for you to try out! Is the school open with the chem. lab? No, but that treehouse is really interesting, sims can woohoo in it! Is there a new neighborhood? No this exp. is more focused on the sims, did we mention that great treehouse? Ok, we get it, theres a treehouse. While there are a few features that are really good, and are gonna be useful to have, this pack in general seems pretty, half-assed

The thing I want the most from the pack is the changing how long each life stage lasts. It will be fun to use! This is something they should have had in the sims 2 for sure.

Quote: Adults can store Strollers in their inventory and will automatically choose to push Toddlers or Babies in them during situations in which they would usually carry them. ...great, so they'll be carting their kids around the house in prams whenever they're holding them?

Maybe they will release a patch to disable them indoors.

Re: Expansion Pack 4: The Sims 3 Generations
There might be a feature where you can "equip" items to Sims from the inventory like the Sims Medieval. I doubt it since they didn't go into details.

Maybe sims will only use strollers if they leave their home lot? I think that'd make the most sense.

Re: Expansion Pack 4: The Sims 3 Generations
I'm guessing the IF will get stuck everywhere, strollers will disappear (with babies in them, ofc) and the day care kids will do absolutely nothing all day That games made by EA got a lot of bugs is clearly not an understatement. Look at this http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3236592/limo%20bug.pngLets just say the limo is not supposed to drive there... It seems like every time I play TS3 a new glitch appears. Just check my thread on the TS3 forum: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/366330.pageAnd then we got some of the things that aren't glitches, but still suck. Like this: http://www.novamov.com/video/lyu1xbmysbdoz HE IS EATING EVERYTHING IN SIGHT Parties are incredibly lame in this game too: http://www.novamov.com/video/8a7yya7kga5hpBarely anyone comes and they leave after like 3 min. In TS2 they stayed pretty much all day

Re: Expansion Pack 4: The Sims 3 Generations
Lol. Well, I certainly agree that parties are incredibly lame in this game. When I get invited to them I can't even get in the house, and the one time I was able to get into the house it was... not a party. It was just household Sims standing around doing nothing and a baby crying on the floor. Then my teen (the invited one I was playing) had to leave real fast due to the curfew.
I guess it was a good thing, that was no fun at all. She was starving, as there was food. It wasn't a party.
