2) New muscle and breast sliders. Muscle sliders are for both men and women.
3) A new film career, with two branches, director and actor. It will be kinda like the doctor career, some stuff is in a rabbithole, some you do outside.
4) Vampires dont die from sunlight. They get blisters and lost their powers for a while.
5) Vampire powers include mind reading.
6) Vampire kids have to go to school.
7) The sky-scrapers can be lived in, and will be kinda like the pyramids in WA. There's a shell and you can build inside of it.
8 ) The new neighborhood is like Sunset Valley and Riverview. It's an actual neighborhood that you can live in.
9) They're backing down with oppurtunities on this one. Yes!!!
10) New games like shuffleboard and darts.
11) There's an FX machine that shoots fire, snow, glitter, and bubbles.
12) You can build pools on any floor.
13) You can adjust the height of paintings on a wall.
14) There will be half walls.
15) New recipes for bars, and a food cart.
16) Bands can perform gigs or just start playing.
17) The animation for when vampires feed changes if they're romantically involved with the sim or not.
18 ) Subways, which are rabbitholes.
19) Vampires are not immortal, but age very slowly.
20) You can woohoo in hot tubs and elevators.
21) Shy is a new trait, as well as one for celebrities. It seems to be called star quality.
22) No bowling alleys
23) Water reflections
24) There is a vampire cure that is a potion
25) New facial hair.
26) Each instrument will have a seperate skill.
27) If the club has a bouncer, you can sneak in, bribe your way in, hack your way in, or (obviously) get in with your celeb status.

33) No loading screens for subways. A short time after they go in, they'll exit from another subway.

36) There are three new hot tubs.
37) Teenagers can go to clubs, as long as it's not after their curfew. I'm guessing they can still stay out after curfew, but they might get caught by the police, same way it is now.
38 ) New music!
39) No DJ booth
40) No traffic system. The traffic light is just a deco object. I'm pretty happy about that. It would suck getting stuck in traffic in the sims.
41) You can't visit the new neighborhood, only live in it Shucks, I was looking forwood to my sims visiting the city for a night out.
42) Paparazzi will sneek arounds and take photos of celebs.
43) No spiral staircases

They mean "mugged". You can get mugged on the subway.

who cares that there wont be no coffins... theres going to be so much more! this EP looks awesome, and its going to make the game so much better, im really excited for condos, and the new CAS stuff, also the vampires seem real cool

There wasn't anything there that overtly disappointed me. No spiral staircases is a slight bummer however with half walls, pools and where and the ability to move objects up and down the wall is well enough for me.

Only thing that disappointed me is not being able to use the Subway system to access other neighbourhoods. Other from that lots of great new info!

he also mentioned dating as being able to go on group outings, but that there was also romantic outings? i wonder if that's a half assed version of 'dates' (just like asking a sim out to a community lot), or if it's the real thing. it sort of pissed me off because i wasn't online at the time of the questions being asked, and nobody asked if there would be more romantic socials.

he did make it clear that dining has been unchanged, and that we won't have restaurants. but why would they save restaurants and dating for a different expansion?


some things i liked though, which was they did ask about apartments (basically we can just live in penthouses and high rise buildings, though), and the new traits (there are 2)

AND as a matter of fact, grant did mention breast sliders at least 3 times. that sounds promising enough!

One of the vampire powers is mind reading? How exactly do they "mind read" sims?

Also, not dying in sunlight is fail. That ruins one of my ways of killing off sims. Maybe a mod can fix that, but not sure on that one. But atleast I can still turn sims and have them die from thirst

And also very disappointed that the downtown area is not some sort of attachment. Luckly the EP has more pros than cons, imo

It sounds good so far, but I'm not too happy with the vampires. They sound kinda lame. :/ Most of everything else sounds pretty good though. I wish it was an attached downtown area too. It's giving me a headache trying to figure out how I'm going to make that work with my existing sims.

Here are some other little things I thought were mildly interesting:

I'm getting really excited for this EP, the more I read about it, the better it sounds. I'm a little disappointed that I can't kill my vampires in the sun but I can live with it. I love that they drink Plasma instead of eating regular food and I prefer that they don't sleep in coffins. I really hope this game is going to be as good as it sounds!

I was following the whole thing. There's some good information there. But a few things worried me - One person actually said "You should make a Vacation EP!" and he responded with "Good idea." (essentially).

And I was like... "Seriously?" I know that World Adventures wasn't exactly what everybody wanted, but it is the successor to Vacation and Bon Voyage, like it or not. It just isn't right to have two expansion packs for the same game with the exact same theme. I will not be happy if we get another vacation expansion pack unless it is a side feature in a bigger expansion pack.

And the fact that the rabbit holes are being left as rabbit holes is worrying me. For subways and work places it makes sense. But seriously we need our customizable restaurants, stores, and community lots back. I loved making those in The Sims 1 and 2. Now I fear that the rabbit holes are a permanent feature to The Sims 3. And it upsets me that the studio is going to be yet another stupid rabbit hole. That isn't The Sims, EA.

Edit: Oh and I can't believe they actually added breasts sliders. I can't believe it at all.

That would worry me too. The only thing that I can see sort of working is having theme (or amusement) parks and lakes/oceans to swim in. But I would rather see that in a seasons EP. IMO, he might have said that out of pity :P .

The only thing I don't like about Vampires is that they can have children...ugh...they are DEAD! The sunlight thing doesn't bother me too much, they don't sparkle and they are affected by it so that's a plus. This is interesting...

It won't have the same theme, World Adventures was all about adventures, finding treasure, raiding tombs, etc. However 'Vacation' is a whole new meaning, it's not looking for gold, not looking to find the blessed tomb of 'Tukamanakan-whatever', no. It's about relaxing, for all I know it could be a possible gateway to actual beach lots and lots of other things.


And what's wrong with breast sliders? Not every human is an A cup.

what does npc hosted parties mean? you can hire npcs for your party?

but would that also mean that sims in the neighborhood will have their own parties? grant said that sims can be invited to parties.

You know how some times sims will call you up hang out with them at their place. This is very similar but now they are inviting you to a party at their house.

I am interested if you can hire people for your party though. I liked being able to hire a bartender.

i'm pretty sure that he mentioned something about being able to hire somebody............ a butler, possible. and i think maybe a bartender.


that would be very cool though to go to other sims' parties. he also mentioned something about being able to crash parties. i just don't remember.
