But anyways, the thing I can't figure out about that screenshot is, is that a really small house with no walls? All I see are coloums.

It is not exactly releasing 2 creatures because the "creatures" we know and love come as life-states. We could in fact get the werewolf and the unicorn because sims don't turn into unicorns.. they find unicorns.

Also just because eaxis hasn't done it before does't mean they won't in the future.. does't mean that maybe with this expansion being one of the biggest (as i can see so far) and the most wanted (steadily by the fans other than seasons) they might outdo themselves. With a new team we might get a new perspective on what the fans want and they might listen to our pleas and take them seriously instead of keeping them in the back of their mind.

It is now confirmed that unicorns are the only creature.





I can't say I'm disappointed. I would have been so much more disappointed if EA had just stuck in a werewolf again and called it a day.

Yeah. Ghosts, SimBots, and Vampires were acceptible.

The more I hear the more I just don’t get the appeal of the Unicorns, they seems like an almost useless after thought. At least with Ghosts, Vampires, Mummys, Robots and invisible friends they can be a fun part of daily life in your city, but the Unicorns seem pointless! It can start fires, ‘bless’/'curse' Sims, and teleport whoop de bloomin' woo…

I would have preferred another ‘Sim’ creature like a werewolf, maybe one that turned into a wolf (dog) once a month or something. At least I can see the gameplay in that…

There were so many they could have done:

Werewolf - turns into a wolf (OK dog) once a month, in certain circumstances the can howl while still Sims, and be prone to chasing cars! LOL!

WerePets - A Sim who turns into one of the 3 main Pet types once a month, in certain circumstances the can exhibit traits of their animal while in Sim form!

Mermaids - Swim in the seas and lakes (over a certain size) and their tails change to legs when leaving the water.

Aliens - Come from UFO's and can shape shift into a Sim (or Pet) and infiltrate families to spread their genes.

Centaurs - Half Sim half horse, stronger and faster than a normal sim with built in transport!

Giants - Twice the height of a normal Sim and stronger but very clumsy.

I can't think of a single practical and fun reason for the Unicorns so they won't be in any of my cities...

That's much more than werewolves could ever do in The Sims 2.

I only played with werewolves once in the Sims 2. I just didnt like them all that much. I wouldn't say I'm wild about the unicorns. The special powers aren't something I'd desperately want and they're little more than fancy horses beyond those powers. But even then... it's a nice change of pace.

I never successfully turned into a werewolf in the Sims 2. I think Unicorns are going to be much more fun and easy to find in the Sims 3. I like how there are more things to do with the Unicorn than you could with werewolves.


Offtopic: However I do want to say that there is a hint in this video that there are werewolves in the console version based on this video at :44 seconds. It's quite possible!

Ahh..I gotcha , well if that is the case, it makes me wonder what sort of new creature they'll add to consoles if it doesn't include horses (unicorns)?? Hmm....
