Anyways, I still think it's BS that the open neighborhood is disabled on only some consoles. With the flat 2D menu? That ruins the game IMO.

So is that just a preview or can you actually drag and drop patterns onto that, scale and rotate them etc?

It was a good video, although I think the person forgot to make sure the camera wasn't slipping all over the place so we could barley see.

Whoever animated the dog should win an award or something. The way it walked was perfect. Did anyone else notice it had 3 gaits instead of 2 like the sims 2 dogs had? It walked, trotted and ran, in ts2 the dogs would just trot everywhere or run. I really think they did that animation perfectly.

I did notice that the horse in particular had a lot of routing/interaction error issues going on, particularly at the begining where the player was obviously trying to get it to go through the barn door (specific door!) and just gave up in the end. That shouldn't be happening. Particularly because that barn door was purpose built for horses to use.

I did love how the horse changes into its saddle. I was expecting a sim to whip one out of their pocket like they do with everything else, but to see the horse spin around like a sim does completeley caught me off gaurd, I laughed a little at that! haha. It was great, although I expect some movie makers won't be too happy about it.

Seems to have a similar feel to Sims 2 Pets, but being able to control the pets is nice. But WOW did you see the horse changing clothes? That was freaking legendary! Hahahaha

Very nice! I like how you can rotate the patterns on in CAH (Create-a-Horse). I can totally see myself creating colorful horses!

Anyways, a lot of the objects are of lower quality, but you'd never see them that close up during regular gameplay, so I think that's probably why. I love love love all those objects. I also like that the dog houses aren't legitamentally rabbit holes. If only they had real lighting too, that'd be cool.

Is it me, or does the horse in that statue look more like a donkey? Come to think of it... would be nice if we could tweak the horses to actually look like donkeys. If not... I hope a modder creates something for it... Same goes for the big feline species :).

I listened to the last few minutes of the chat life. Didn't hear anything really astonishing or new, but I figured I'd post anyway.

- The limited edition will be available in stores, but not every store might have them. Check with your local retailer.
- Households can have 8 sims and 6 pets, but a maximum of 10 in total. (6 sim + 4 pets is okay, 2 sims + 9 pets is not okay).
- There is a 'process' you need to go through a process to get a unicorn (opportunity?).
- Pets have memories.
- Pets can have jobs (but it sounded more like an opportunity than a job).
- You can ride unicorns, but it'll take time to get them to trust you.
- Cats can hold their own against dogs.
- Interanimal relationships are possible, but it does depend; dogs and cats usually don't like each other.
- Crossbreeding between different dog/cat/horse races is possible (hurray for crossbreeding dogs!). The looks of the puppies/kitten/foals will have some characteristics from both.
- Your name will be in the news paper if you win a horse race.
- No gruesome deaths for pets. There are pet ghosts.
- Horses can be used like a vehicle.
- The pets are full sims. Wishes, desires, etc...
- Pets can go to community lots, neighbors, friends, etc...
-Children can interact with pets.
