I don't know. It's pretty common. See, there's a difference in "making love" and "sex". Sex is just intercourse. Which can also be called "making whoopy" or "fun" as I'm going to say here. Making love is using sex to show your feelings for another person. Ya see, we guys, who are incredibly sick creatures for the most stereotypical part, will often talk a girl into believing we love them just to put out. I don't know how it is for girls, but the truth of it is, most guys want sex to have sex as I said before. Maybe I'm the only one here who falls into this category..I don't know. I personally think though some people are just lying to make themselves sound better or more mature though. Just my take on it. And before it's asked, that was not intended to point fingers(or cursors) at anyone.

Of course, loving sex may be better for the passion. But that's what marriage is good for. If it's premarital or before any engagement then why should there have to be love thrown around? And if you don't love someone then you may as well not get engaged for marriage. That then being said, I see no problems with non loving sex. Sex isn't like you see in movies where there are candles, loud, romantic music, slow start and just "love" being thrown around. Of course, each of those things are possible, but usually it's not like that. Must be cause I'm a non married teen right? And no, for you girls who are going to read this and then take each of my facts I said about guys too seriously, not every guy is like me. Though, many are, you are also very likely to have them fall in love with you...especially if you put out early. There's also a thing called sexless love where some guys will love you no matter the circumstances of sex or no sex. I fall into a mix of the two categories.

Meh. I don't plan on using my virginity for some fun-night-out with a random person because I need "relief~~~". I just imagine it feels awkward having sex with someone you don't feel for. There's that risk of feeling "wut dis is it okey bye". I guess it's because I always thought of sex to be this big major thing that has to have something special associated with.
I suppose it's a more personal thing. I don't really care much about before or after marriage, I just don't think it's something I personally want to throw myself around with like a silly horn dog. And if someone faked that they loved me just for some cheap entertainment, I would bite them. ;_;

I'm certainly not like that! A lot, or even most guys have had their first kiss by 13, and I haven't, so that's a good sign that I'm not going to change!

Or there are some like my friend who are just so unlucky that they only got theirs at 16 a couple of weeks ago.. I got mine when I was 12. It didn't really change anything for me really. Kissing isn't necessarily anything that's going to make you into a horny, sex-crazed guy. That all depends on your personality and hormones.

I'm 16 and I still haven't gotten mine. I never have and still don't really understand the pressure of having to have your first kiss asap. :| Preteen romance can be cheap to me. Sometimes it's cute, I know, but yadayada... Silly seventh graders thinking they're in tough "drama".
I guess I've waited so long compared to er, other teenagers that it's kind of increased it's value. And people have had crushes on me, so it's not like I feel like an unattractive loveless dope or something just because my lips have yet to touch another. xD

I'm in the school theatre though, and there's no way I plan on wasting my first kiss for a freaking stage kiss. When I saw my crush have there's when I watched their performance...

I don't really know anything about sex addictions, but from the sound of it it's similar to a drug addiction, as in they can't really control it, as opposed to people who just enjoy doing as many women as possible...

I guess I'm lucky being a guy in a way, since guys are expected to ask out girls. I may not get a girlfriend any time soon, but at least I don't have to worry about pervy guys flirting with me. In fact, I seem to develop an automatic dislike for someone when I see them very obviously flirting. People have accused me of flirting, with someone I happen to like, but it's not intentional, I guess I just act like that. I just don't like it when guys go out of their way to get a girl they barely know and probably only like for their looks.

You sir are truly one of a kind. Guys always flirt with girls they don't know. That's how you get to know them. Or get em to talk to you at least. It doesn't mean they're only going for sex.

This is going to sound weird but I am totally unaware of all these teenage romance rules. Even some of the ones I did know or stumbled upon those lulzy Facebook notes, I barely understood or related to any of them. I guess some of them are reasonably nice but to know and follow all of them seems kind of... robotic and one dimensional to me. But then, what would I know? ;_;

Most people here tend to be a little more conservative anyway. At least, the group of people I care to pay attention to. Most of my friends are the goody two shoe theatre kids after all - stereotypically they don't have much of a reputation of being hot and wild. Really, I'm probably one of the more controversial among some of them. :| Well, minus this one girl I know that tries to verbally and mentally hump every guy in the theatre. Even the ones that are taken. I don't know if it's intentional or not but it's pretty amusing.

I really don't try (half of the time) to sound like a Miss.Crumple-arse. I do find some couples cute and I'm into some lovey dovey stories, but some people just make it seem so cheesy.

Flirting isn't the only way to get to know someone... though I see what you mean... but there is a difference between starting conversation with a girl and making it blatantly obvious you're "in love" with her. I don't see how you could go out with someone you barely know... =/

. . . Yea, its possible to have a boy-girl friendship almost all of my friends are boys, they never flirt with me (except one sent me a love note in 4th grade and gave me chocolates for valentines last year) but we were already friends before he did that.

Really though, what is the point in having a boyfriend or girlfriend right now? Especially at your ages of 13? I'm 16 and don't see the point in me having one. I mean, it just doesn't make sense. Then you're binded to that person for X amount of time, then usually you lose them and then what? Oh, hey! It's all gone! Then it's time for someone new for the majority of people. Usually one person gets screwed over in the whole thing treating the other like a queen for so long only for them to go to someone else. Right, that's why I don't usually bother with it all. Oh, and then there are so many who get the depression after they break up. I mean, then that's just kind of pointless too. I've had it and then got mad at myself for wondering why the hell I'm upset about it and then it only makes things worse for me. Anyways, that's my whole thought on it.

Love is different for everyone, I'm the kind of person who needs to be in a relationship to be happy, but a long-term one, a VERY long term one, which is what I'm in now. We're stable and dependent and I have no fear of him not being comitted to me, which is exactly what I need. I've been obsessed with love and romance ever since I was little, I'd think about my first kiss and my future husband, and I always wondered if I had already met the man I would marry, and it turns out I did. Because I was so obsessed with love and romance I made sure I would only date if I found exactly what I was looking for, and I knew everything I could before I made the decision, because I'm also very emotional, and a break-up would down-right kill me if it happened. So when I met my boyfriend I was extremely hesitant but he waited and waited for me to be ready, and I thought if a guy would wait an entire summer and stay up til 1 in the morning everynight talking to me about everything, he's gotta be pretty damn special, and I guess I'mthe exception to "teenage love". Sometimes you do find the right person at 16

Sure most people are happy being in a relationship, but needing a relationship to be happy, that's very unhealthy You'll need to learn how to make it on your own and be happy on your own. I know way too many people who need to be in a relationship to be happy and their love lives have been nothing but hell

Well my love life has been great, we get along very well. That's too bad about your friends though =[ It's not that I can't make it on my own, I'm just happier when I have something to share life with.

It's great to hear you're in such a functional long term relationship! Mainly considering so many these days are taken way too seriously but end up way too short.

I personally mainly agree that there's not too big of a point in relationships at the young teen age, despite the fact that I've had a huge crush on the same person for over around two years and have yet to tell them. Not exactly what I consider healthy, so I kind of mucked myself up with that. But I guess it can be fun to go on cute little dates and experiment? I wouldn't mind going into a High School Sweetheart relationship for the experience, which is what I plan to do, but then there's the risks of them ending awfully.
