Ok, well, death. Hmm. I don't want to die yet. I'm just not ready. I think one of the most ideal ways to die is through terminal illness. Even though it's the saddest way to die, everyone has time to get closure, unlike sudden deaths. Anyway, unfortunately I don't believe in re-incarnation, and I hope it isn't real. My rationale is: I like myself as I am, why would I want to be born as someone else, and not remember my life as it is now. Oh boy thats my biggest fear. I believe you go where you want to, if you're consciously good. Someone who killed someone in the army may still be a good person. But if they went to war with the intent to hatefully torture and kill, I do believe your choice is then taken away. People are either a + or -. If you get a plus you can choose to stay on earth as a simple, non-haunting spirit, or go where you please. Average Joe who doesn't do anything, isn't a bad person so he gets a +, he didn't hurt anyone. The mean bitch down the corner, she may be a bitch and you might not agree with her actions twoards other people, but if she dies, she still can get a + because she wasn't doing anything to hurt someone, she most likely just had unresolved issues. Hitler, however killed people with the intent of killing, gets a minus, and is therefore punished, with what, I don't know, whatever he doesn't like. But I do believe in redemtion. I do believe in good and evil. I believe you can degrade your soul through worshiping evil. Not satinic stuff. Just evil, the -. I always watch ghost shows, so I do believe in good and evil. I don't necessarily believe good has to be Catholic because there have been different ways of curing evil. You just have to demand good. Afterlife, I believe should be every answer you ever wanted. The spirit life should be fun, and you can be you. When I first started playing Sims, I was 10, and I remember thinking about death, and how much it would suck, and I do think I spent at least a minute saying "I hope I don't die! I'd miss my Sims". I'm scared for death because I don't know whats going to happen, like everyone else. But if it's what I think and want it to be. Lets go.

I had a dream and i think i die on the beach but its cool...i remeber i was frail and old....but i think i get hit by something blue mabye a beached boat...those things move if the wind is stong enough!

Reincarnation. A small part of me believes that one could stay as they are like that of a ghost or a spirit, but for the most part, I believe in reincarnation.
I'm not afraid to die in the slightest bit. In fact, death is actually something I think about on a daily basis. I'm just so curious to figure out what happens next! I could care less how or when i die, just so long as I die. I hope we get reincarnated. I don't think when we die it's nothing but darkness as we lie sleeping in our coffins (or in my case, as a pile of ashes floating in the wind). But I also don't believe there's such a thing as God, or a Heaven. I don't think that when we die we sprout wings and float up to the clouds for an afterlife of happiness and joy. In a way, I don't think I'd really like to move on and go to Heaven. To live forever in a state of serenity and happiness, where everything is supposed to be beautiful and carefree... I'd hate that! No excitement... In a world where you die, but then you live again in a Heaven like state, forever, what do you have to live for? I'd much rather just live an awful life, but be hopeful for a good next life, rather than knowing I'm going to be happy in Heaven. I have no problem with people believing in God, all of my friends do. I told them a year or two again about my beliefs, and they're still not used to it!
It's just my beliefs. I've thought this way since I was old enough to understand the concept of death, and I don't think it's ever going to change.

I believe when we die, we go to pergatory. There we await God or Satan to come and take us away. Depending on how you live your life you either go to heaven or hell, but you are also put through a test of somesort which you must pass. Then if you pass God replays your life for you, and you have to answer for everything you've done on earth and explain why you did those things, wether they be good or bad. If he sees fit after all this, then I believe you go to heaven. I do believe in reincarnation, but I believe God chooses if you come back or not.

DIRECTED TO MIKE: the difference is when you were dead for billions of years leading up to being born you had never actually experienced life.
What if your 80 years old, lying on your death bed, and know you have a disease that is going to kill you in less than a month. I think if you could honestly go the entire time up until death without being upset or scared then that is quite courageous because i would be pissing my pants and crying because of all the memories i had that would vanish.

the point is that it doesn't matter.
regardless of whether you've experienced life or not, when you're dead you won't remember it. you'll be dead.

I believe in "after-life" as it were... I think the body is just a vessel and our soul is our true being. Which I can kind of relate to ghosts, I mean, my theory is that they haven't reached enlightenment yet, oh yeah, I forgot to mention I believe in enlightenment, as in reaching inner-peace.
However, I have made it very clear that I want to be cremated, the idea of being buried in a big box scares the crap out of me. I would much rather be sitting on a bookshelf or something, unless I find some place I really like in my life, then I guess they could sprinkle my ashes...
But at the end of the day, who knows? Lol

I would like to belive there is a place we go when we die, it just seems...unlikely.

I've always thought of death as never ending darkness, where all you can do is think. Though, non existance is more likely, so at least we have nothing to worry about once we're dead...

But the thought of the universe ending scares me, just for the slight chance there's reincarnation.

I believe when you die you go to heaven or hell.

I don't really think anything happens when you die. I kind of take a more scientific approach to life as a whole....it's kind of a sad, scary thought, but as Forrest Gump's momma would say, dying is just a part of life. I think about it a lot...and just the idea that the amount of time I have on this planet is going to be over eventually makes me want to try to live a life that is better and more fulfulling, not be freaked out or scared. Everyone has to die eventually.

It's definetley something I have to try to figure out. I'm going to be confirmed into the Catholic church in about a year, and I'm still working on reconciling certain views. Heaven and hell seems kind of too black-white for me...what defines good and bad? They're really just human ideas/concepts.

When you die you are judged for the life that you lived and the decisions you made living on Earth. I feel very sorry for people who have committed serious sins against the innocent like abortion and child abuse because unless they repent something very bad is in store for them.

I was under the impression you went to hell if you didn't believe in Jesus, and thank him for dying for our sins, or something like that. So, religious mass murderers are in heaven and Ghandi is in Hell.

I've heard "Believe in Jesus and you go to Heaven," but I think it's a little more than that, because there's simply believe and then there's respecting. Religious mass murderers probably don't have respect, for God or anyone.

I hope for reincarnation, or heaven, or something after death, but in truth I still have no idea what I truly believe.

But I have a strong feeling that there might be something. Because as weird as it sounds, when I think about the time before I was born (like, when I started collecting memories), I don't feel like there was nothing. I feel like I still existed somehow, but I dunno. Maybe that's just me sensing when I was a baby, but I was too young to remember specifics. I dunno if that made sense, but yeah. XD

Hopefully we don't just rot. That's my worst fear. But I guess if it's true I won't really care.

Yeah i feel a lot like that. Like I always think it would suck to rot in the ground but then I think, at least that would mean a lot of people that aren't religious or chose the wrong religion wouldn't be in hell.
Its kind of scary to think about, hell. Like, think about the billions of people that are(or would be) burning in hell right now but not being able to die if hell existed. Its depressing.

^ Not to turn this into the religion thread, but don't you think it would be a pretty insecure, petty and cruel god that would put people in hell just for not believing in him?

I don't know what to think. I have a feeling if god exists he will have some sort of explanation for it at the gates.

I still don't see how it hurts to be religious though and just take your chances on getting into heaven. I mean, I would rather have a shot at heaven than just accept rotting. I just would never preach about it or anything.
