I've just bought the triology of the hunger games, purley because everyone seems to be harping on about it I thought I'd get in on it before the films took over...

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, and The Host by Stephenie Meyer. Though I've kinda put the latter on hold. Just got all out of the mood for reading it. Technically I've started other books too but yeah. XD I've got to stick to a book and finish it before starting others.

It took a long time for my friend to convince me to read The Host but once I got a few chapters in, I loved it an have read it a second time since. Let me know what you think of it!

I am currently reading 40 Signs of Life by Scott Hahn. I'm reading one chapter every day throughout the 40-days of Lent.

I usually do this with books -- the stopping somewhere mid way through before picking it back up. My favorite books have been ones I've gotten half way through, put away a while, and came back to. I'm just like that. But! I did start reading The Host again last night. Have to say I'm really hooked again. I can barely stand it though. There are lines, and parts that have me tearing up. I probably look like an idiot but I get so invested in characters. And these are so good.

I was the same way with The Host, I got really invested in the lives of the characters and teared up more than once. I might have to read it again before the movie comes out.

I am about 100 pages into a 800 or 900 page book right now, and I'm stuck there. It's a Diana Gabaldon book from her Outlander series and I'm really enjoying it, I just don't take the time to read right now.

I finished The Host. I'll have to say that it was nearly perfection. I can't describe how good it is. Everyone should read it. *nods furiously*

So I'm still reading Vampire Academy. Might take a few days off from reading though. XD

That series is a lot to commit to. The books are really long and there are 7 of them so far, but it is a good story and every one has a different twist and storyline to it.

I'm glad that you loved The Host, Ki! That's how I felt after I finished reading it both time. I actually wanted to just start reading it all over again but didn't let myself! It will be interesting to see if the movie does the book justice.

I'm not sure if I'm ready for that kind of commitment. I am currently just trying to ease myself back into reading. Maybe I should take a break from the series after the first book? I've only read like one other book in a very, very long time. D:

I usually take a break between each book and read something else - usually something shorter and easier to get through. I don't find that the Outlander series is something that you need to read one right after the other, so a break in between is actually nice.
