Re: The Sims 3 Seasons... Coming November 13th, 2012!
Well, I didn't think I'd want any more to do with TS3, but Seasons might bring me back. I'll probably do a clean reinstall with just the base game, Generations, and Seasons. I love Pets but it screws up my game constantly.

Re: The Sims 3 Seasons... Coming November 13th, 2012!
The worst thing about this for me is that I know in my heart if I go ahead and pick up this along with the expansions that I missed, something is going to go wrong. Like having all my family members show up to my birthday celebration, but then finding out the only reason they showed up was so they could all kick me in the crotch one by one. (Thankfully I don't know that feeling, but I'm guessing it's similar to when Sims 3 gives me hassle)

We are not getting water slides in Seasons. :( https://twitter.com/SimGuruMike Just scroll down a bit and you'll find it. Rumors are saying its going to be store content or in the seaside stuff pack.

Some more info I gathered. Dogs can't swim in the ocean. http://www.twitlonger.com/show/imof5mThere are no heaters or air conditioners. Rooms will stay perfect naturally. http://www.twitlonger.com/show/imf131No skinny dipping at the beach (ocean) http://www.twitlonger.com/show/imf626Surfing is not part of Seasons. http://www.twitlonger.com/show/imerv37 days by default, 3 is the minimum and 28 days is the maximum to adjust an individual season (will have to scroll down for this info) the seasonal lot marker will allow you to give a lot a unique name for each season https://twitter.com/SimGuruGrahamYes the seasonal lot marker works on residential lots. http://www.twitlonger.com/show/ils4tn

hunter wrote: find it kind of dumb that dogs cant swim in the ocean. It's just the nature of the franchise. Only so many features work around different EPs. Pets are an EP creature, and therefore not supported under any other EPs. However, because Pets could swim in pools, the animations are there, and it wouldn't take much for a modder to create a clever way of the dogs to "jump into" the ocean. Maybe even a custom animation. So therefore I'm sure it's doable with mods. Err- a moder will find it doable.

While dogs not being able to swim is an strange (and undeniably inexcusable) move, I honestly don't care. It's a tiny chip on the wall (er... made up expression there... because I couldn't think of one to work here xD). It wasn't something I ever thought about to begin with.
I'm so enamored by the great detail put into the weather and seasons, along with the festivals and the ability to have any lot automatically change throughout the seasons that I really don't care that dogs can not swim in the ocean.

Re: The Sims 3 Seasons... Coming November 13th, 2012!
I am really excited! Can they switch supernatural and seasons release dates? J/k, I rather get it with minimal bugs (harhar). I hope we can set the seasons to like 14 days, that would be perfect for my play. Hopefully they don't give us set modules like min 3, 7, 28... that would bum me out. And even if there were set modules I have hope someone out there would mod it specifically to set it for length of days they want. Who would want 3 days? xD LET THERE BE SNOW!!! -^^-

Minimum is 3 and highest is 32 i think :) And you can have 1 Seasons the year round if you want too xD

Re: The Sims 3 Seasons... Coming November 13th, 2012!
I'm just hoping there's an option to switch the order of the seasons around and even remove them like there was in TS2. Lucky Palms would look weird covered in snow...

So If you want a snowy Riverview but not an Snowy Lucky Palms you can fix that. http://www.twitlonger.com/show/ilufq1And this

Ooh, so you can stop weather as well as seasons?
A snow-less winter would be much more realistic than 2 seasons of summer.

Re: The Sims 3 Seasons... Coming November 13th, 2012!
People should just convert the animations over from Sims 2. The creators of Sims 3 did that so many times. Just clone the objects and the animations.

That is awesome news! Maybe if they hadn't done memories in such an annoying way this time... I really wanted them and now I can't wait to shut them off!

Thank god for Nraas. I hated memories. But it's nice EA realized how much they suck. No one wants to share or post anything.
God, if Sims 4 is inseprable from the internet... I will effectively be one of those stubborn Sims 2 people, except with Sims 3.

There's a mod that can let you chose which memories you want to have, http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=446281
