Which confirmation email? The one in step 3? Or the one after the tutorial ends? (Actually there's two)

Yea, I finished the tutorial and I ended up getting 3 e-mails. One was the sign-up receipt, and then there were two pretty much identical e-mails that came along after it.

Aah, that would explain it. I tried going to that in Firefox and it didn't seem to work, but it works in IE. Very slowly, mind you.
Thanks, hopefully I'l have no more problems.

Update on IllusionFXNet:
IllusionFXNet is closing their free hosting applications (for real). My website is going down too, but I'm going to paid hosting. Just a note.

Can't go wrong with ThreeHosting. Just write a small application, and they might or might not approve you. You can even tell them how much space you want. I just got approved! I'm so happy!

not all free host domains use google for their money. instead they use the hostfile or .htaccess to plot the ads their and get paid through another system. google ads are noticable because they say "ads by goooooooooogle".

Just do it yourself :)
No ads nothing and no restrictions. Just pay for domain or use tinyurl free
Also I'm seeing more isp include "bigger" packages for client sites. My isp just upgraded to a super package that I'm looking into but my isp name is attached to it and they can find out that email. (I only use that email for my friend overseas and It things)

I'm offering to host up to 20 free SS member's site for free NO ADS. If your interested here are details:
Web Space: 500 MB
Monthly Bandwidth: 50 GB
Address: <your page>.luckybee.org or your domain if you own one
FTP Access
Scripts Supported: Perl, Python, PHP3, PHP4, PHP5
MySQL Database if needed
Subdomain if needed
E-mail Accounts (@luckybee.org powered by Google)
Online directory manager (Relay)
There is no website builder so you would need to know how to make sites and use FTP. You can get an open-source website editor at www.nvu.com and free FTP at www.smartftp.com. I can install scripts such as forums or blogs if needed. No ads would be required, but you can have your own if you want. If you have a forum hosted I would ask for a button (such as the one in my sig) to ImageBee.org.
This is just for SS members fed up with ad-ridden free hosts. You'll need to have at least 50 posts for this offer. I'm only going to host 20 sites. Questions PM or email me at contact@luckybee.org (email is probably faster). No there aren't catches, it just makes me cry when I see a nice site bogged down with ads.

Wooow. This exceeds bumping an old topic. This is just plain spamming. Shame on you, Mr. Newbie. Shame.

 Re: Free webhosting, no ads.
Since this is a sticky I think bumping is okay as long as someone is adding useful information.
