I've split this from the last crisis thread to differentiate it from the last occurence, as to anyone skimming (i.e. Snooty) it'd look like we were still reacting to something that happened months ago.

I'm glad people could care less i.e. they DO care more than an unspecified bottom limit. (Okay, pedantic nitpick there)

The closest equivalent occurence I'm aware of was way back when the first University EP forum was created and I think it was glitchy and kept deleting posts in it (I'm not sure, I don't think I was around back then). It led to the creation of a test/spam forum which eventually evolved into F&G.

And now F&G is being eaten. We've come full circle, haven't we?

No, probably not. I doubt it's down to a glitch this time anyway, although I would like to know exactly what Uni-gate was like for comparison.

By the way, to whoever brought it up, I think I have all the song files from Awkward Idol, so I can at least salvage those.

I think that if some mod has gone around unilaterally deleting threads then it's a pretty crappy thing to do. Certainly I could see some justification for deleting threads like This or That in order to save space if they could be opened up again once the space has been saved, but to delete the Advent thread is just not on. Lots of people (especially Bonky of course) put a hell of a lot of effort into it, and it was surely a thread that kept people coming here to the board. Personally, I can honestly say I've clicked on some of the adverts on this site just as a small token of appreciation for that thread alone, so to delete it (if indeed that is what happened) is pretty stupid.

I agree, if somebody's doing this on purpose it really really bad. It sucks that we can't trace back and see who's done what. I wish the forum had an autobackupthingy that backed up deleted threads for a time in case of mistakes.

I have a theory who it is... (ok Bonky pmed me with his suspicion) but I shouldn't mention it here. It's someone I've been suspecting for a while.
