And it can be used as a jabber like chatroom where only you and your friends can chat without the others getting in the way then invite them into the room. So there can be like 10 different chat rooms going on at the sametime or whatever. And nobody gets bothered lol

Another clarification. The amount of users is not really what matters in database size. The biggest part (almost 50%!) is the search feature. Every single word that is posted is searchable and thus requires an enormous amount of space.
If I would delete the search database, you can still use it, you just wouldn't find anything. One thing is for sure, without a search database, the chance to update this forum succesfully is increased a lot.

I can live with that, it's not like, a major must have.

For mods to find answers to questions to link to would be a pain tho ;P
Tons of us mods search every day because we don't want the same questons 20 times over in a day lol
Plus it will just recreate itself unless he doesn't uncheck it. But when the upgrade comes it will re index everything but the forum will work just but 50% bigger lol

I love Pantalaimon, he's certainly the most expressive and human-ish of all the dæmons in the series.

The search feature? I use it all the time. It's better to look up key-words instead of flipping through pages and aching my finger by clicking my dying mouse so much. :|

On the new forum? Just tell me the name and I can activate by hand lol. Never mind your are activated there ;D
Search is really handy. But it will reindex itself anyhow and if it's that big and reindexing all the words again might make slow downs here and there until it catches up unless Snooty decides to turn off the search feature, etc.

I "Think" it prunes people that haven't posted after a month or something. Not sure about that but somebody asked me the other day and I said idk. So make sure you do post. I had to reactivate certain people that "never posted" before after he told me this lol But next time I might just delete them j/k
