 Middle names
I think that there should be middle names in TS3.

 Re: Middle names
That'd be nice but if they don't I think having two names for the first name would do the trick.

Then their kids will be famous too because everyone will know who there Dad/Mom was.

 Re: Middle names
If we're on the topic of names here, middle names would be nice, I am just SO glad that you can have different last names in one family with CAS. But... What I would like to see is titles! For example, say... Scientist Assistant Jeremy has worked really hard and he finally gets that promotion to a fully fledged Scientist, he should also get the title Doctor, or, Dr. It would apply for other things too... I mean I can think of a few based on TS2 careers: Medicine - Doctor, again obviously. Military - General, and other ranks I guess, I have not done much in that track, so I am not sure. Law Enforcement - Cadet, Sergeant, Lieutenant, etc... Politics - Senator, Mayor. Anyways, just an idea. Hehe.

It kind of bothered me how General Buzz had General as part of his name... no other Generals had General as part of their name, and if he got demoted or something, he'd still be General Buzz. I mean, it didn't bother me THAT much, but titles attached to job would be cool, like you said. That, for me, would be even better than middle names, which would probably never come up in The Sims, anyway. And on a similar note, what about the Landgraabs? Have Malcolm Landgraab I, then Malcolm Landgraab II etc. It annoyed me how it was in Sims 2. I can't remember what number he was up to, but all his kids would have the same number at the end of their name, regardless of whether they were a Malcolm or not!

Funny you mention that, because I was thinking about the exact same thing the other day. Lol Yeah, it would be great if that could change as well, I am not sure what you call it, but yeah, hehe.

 Re: Middle names
I think Middle names would be good, but it doesn't bother me too much. The same with the titles, but they would still be interesting.

 Re: Middle names
Well it would kinda annoying But its still actully a good idea. I would really like to see titles would be amazing. And i also like the idea were ur last name gets qualties and a little off topic but like ur on the top of ur career track like for sports or music or politics and ur wife/husband is high in like modeling fame or something then there should be lots of poperocy and stuff around ur house! Cause of the last names i guess it kinda connects!

 Re: Middle names
Titles would be cool, and they could probably work like the witch titles in Apartment Life.
And I like the idea of middle names in theory, but I feel like it would be strange to implement them in the game. I agree that there should be a system for having kids be able to be 'John Samuels', 'John Samuels Jr.', etc.

 Re: Middle names
I love the idea of titles. I think that would add so much to the game.
Middle names, not so much. I have such a hard time coming up with middle names. In fact I think the majority of my sims are named after some random object that caught my eye at the time. Saitek is a popular last name as the is the keyboard I have, lol.

 Re: Middle names
This is a no-brainer for me. My last name is Williams & my middle name is Dana (after my mother).
I think Ja'Niya Dana Williams sounds beautiful.
You could also use Ja'Niya Dayna, or Ja'Niya Danay/Danae.

After that I kinda started to like it... Now, I don't really care one way or the other, lol I do really like your spelling variations however :)

 Re: Middle names
Middle names would come in handy if you want to create many incarnations of your selfsim.Like when you die you most likely made a twin of you in cas and you bring your sim back into the neighborhood you'd want to give him a middle name to distinguish him from the one who died.Example say your sim Chris Matthews died and you bring a clone named Chris Matthews into the same neighborhood you'd want to name him Chris James Matthews to distinguish him from the one who died then once he dies Chris Dean Matthews and so on.

Sometimes it takes me 5 minutes just to think up a good first and last name. Middle names as well aren't really necessary. I'd rather have the whole idea kahnai had, with family names being able to mean things. or like someone might start talking to a sim because they know that sims brother or something...

 Re: Middle names
I've always wanted titles and middle names for my sims, though the super long titles that come with being a witch in AL can be a little annoying :P I personally have two middle names though, I wonder if that would take up too much space in game
