That sounds so cool but I think I'll try to get the trait to show up without the mod... I like having things to work towards.

Edit: Hmm... I can't seem to get it to work. It doesn't show up in CAS or in the cheat menu for changing a sims trait. Am I just supposed to stick the file in the Downloads folder or what? Someone else says they got it to work, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong

No, you gotta read the sticky on that board on how to make the game recognize your additional data. You're supposed to make some folders in the game folder and stick the mod in.

Well I got it to work as far as adding the trait to a sim. I noticed the "burn something" option only appears when you're at your home lot (was abit disappointed at that). When I click on "burn something" the sim goes up to a random object on the lot, and then appears as if he's going to light something on fire. I get a message saying "A fire has started on your lot" but then nothing happens. No fire even appears. I used it many times and the same thing repeated, no fire seemed to actually spark. The first time I used it, the fire alarm I had went off for a short moment, then turned off. Then a fireman came and fined me $500 for false emergency

I fire does start but it only last a very short time, i dont know if it's a bug or not but a small fire does start only it is extinguished really fast by itself, if it's a bug or designed to be this way i'm not sure about yet.

I don't even see a fire happen. Nothing happens at all but the "A fire has started on your lot" message, and that's it. I'm guessing it's either a bug, or a maybe a problem with the mod it self. Usually traits have some sort of discription, but the pyro trait from the mod doesn't have anything

I'll probably try to get the trait the normal way and see if there's any differences (though that might take awhile to test out)

Reguardless though, it's kind of usless if I can't set fires outside of my own lot So much for burning down another sims house I didn't like

Weird, one of my sim with that trait set a fire and since he's in this small room with no doors (nyahnyahnyah) he caught on fire and expired.

Just an update to this subject, MTS now has a mod that unlocks ALL the hidden traits and makes them selectable in CAS.

I made my long-time character Jennica Fortune, gave her Pyromaniac and Immune to Fire.

I actually like Pyromaniac, the fire doesn't destroy stuff, just burns a bit and then goes out, leaving it charred. Great for scaring the hell out of other sims, but won't actually to my knowledge HURT them... cause it didn't spread to other stuff, and quickly put itself out.

Only being able to use it on your home lot does kinda suck.

pizza lover

P.S it's the grand kids who usually get the trait for example a maid's grand kid might get never makes a mess

Hey, after doing "testingcheatsEnabled true", shift-click the mailbox, and you can do "Set NPC". I'm guessing you can do that so you don't have to set a fire on your lot to befriend a firefighter.

I know I got a hack for this. I remember I tried to use it once with one of the Tress Twins. I wanted one evil and Pyro twin vs one good and Immune to fire one.

I was going to make one go for the Criminal Career to become and Evil Emperor and one go to Law Enforcement Career to become a Superhero.

But yeah as I was waiting for these kids to grow up and take over the world I played with my Plainktiff family and the Tress family disappeared from the neighbourhood. So that ruined my idea there for a while. Til I found out about AwesomeMod.

I was hoping to set other people objects on fire and such. Create like a full on Villain terrorising the neighbourhood.
Maybe I could create something like an evil Emperor's lair where they invite housemates over and set objects on fire and scare them. I really want to mess with them though in another home. It's no fun being a pyro and not being able to use it to your advantage for some harmless fun.

I guess Maxis don't want to make us villains or get bad ideas.
Or maybe it's so the Heroes and Villains games can actually sell.

Odd, EAxis allows us to Steal from other people.
But when it comes to setting Fires, oh no we can't do that!

I made one of my sims to get pregnent with a fireman, and then they got themselves a baby son, and when he became toddler, no pyro trait :( Then I thought: "Maybe it will show up when he grow up to a child!" But no... And now he's a teen... Have I done anything wrong?
