 Paintings made by Sims turn into canvases w/ question marks? I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else. It seems that all the old paintings my Sim did have changed; 
A few of the (newer) pieces already hanged on the walls before my last save still show up (not shown in this picture), but all of the older paintings have turned into question marks.
I was intending to fill my house with art produced by my sim, but it seems that may not be possible. What a bummer.

That would piss me off if that happened to me though  I wonder if it's the same thing that can happen in Sims 2. I've heard some people's paintings going blank or something after so many paintings. I really hope it's a bug too and that it will be fixed, cause I had planned one of my sims to be a painter and hang them up in alot of places Maybe I'll try it out and see if the same thing happens to me

Re: Paintings made by Sims turn into canvases w/ question marks? I remember once in TS2 I was playing the asylum challenge and I decided I wanted paintings of all the 'inmates' up on the wall. I put them all up but then decided I wanted them in different places, so put them all into one sims inventory and the stupid game turned them all into the same painting. I was so pissed off.
Sorry, that totally doesn't help the OP! I will stop ranting now.

Other times, they are OK.
