And besides, if you really wanted to, you could always ask for forgiveness of the sins that you don't remember.

If you love God, and are sorry for your sins, even the ones you can't remember, then you're not going to burn in hell forever. God isn't going to say "you can't remember that time you took candy from that baby?? TO HELL FOR YOU!!!"

Well, various wars fought in his name is the best example (Like Crusades...). The countless of people who've died and suffered for him. Not to mention the discrimination in the past towards many other religions.

I've said before, the only reason Christianity and Islam are the most widespread religions is because they're the most barbaric, and destroy all non believers (speaking in general... obviously not all Christians go on a crusade to rid the world of other religions) - wheras the more peaceful and philisophical religions are less widespread across the world.

Offtopic: While I do come from a slightly spiritual background, I did not come from a very Christian background so I never took some of it strongly. There's a lot "loose" Christians in the world and homosexuals especially. Most of my gay friends say they are of the Christian faith and feel no shame at all. It's good to live life by healthy morals in general, which I honestly think is one of the main points of religion and philosophy. But I don't think feeling dirty and ashamed for simple and literally un-harmful things in life to be one of them. So otherwise...

... But anyhow, hate crimes of any sort are stupid and pointless and make me want to vomit on humanity that agrees on such acts. I used to think I was a total minority in my area - er, until I realized most of the Asians here *are* from Laos or Thailand. Plus my area doesn't really have a reputation of crimes, in fact it's rather goody-two-shoes obsessed. I'm thankful for it, and I can only imagine how tough it can be for people just miles away. I've heard stories about some kids and I think "Wow, seriously?"
