Cool. I hope they make em free. Its a bit pointless paying for clothes and items you will only use once a year

Re: Christmas Set is confirmed now to be hitting the sims 3 stor
Hmmm... depending on the cost and the content, this is something I might actually consider buying... I like giving my sims holidays and they don't have to celebrate just once a year - I don't wait until RL December to let them have Christmas, if I did that, some of my sims would never get to celebrate it!

Considering how short some Sims' lifespans are, they really should celebrate Christmas once a month. LOL

I don't think this set will be pay as many skeptic people think it would be, remember the Halloween Set? It was free.

Re: Christmas Set is confirmed now to be hitting the sims 3 stor
I don't know... The content they offer for holidays is lacking in the sense that like the Halloween one doesn't allow your children or teens to go around celebrating the holiday. In the previous ones, yeah you could put presents under the trees and have Santa come down the fireplace but it still doesn't feel like it should for the holidays. So they'll throw us a bone with free items but it doesn't cover the holidays as well as it should, but thats just me.

I didn't get the Halloween set so I didn't know it was free, that's really cool! Now I'm really looking forward to a Christmas set. Since the creation of the store, I expect to pay for everything from EA...

I'm not going to bother with this.. Unless they plan on making REAL holidays in the game with an EP which has seasons Seems pointless putting up a christmas tree etc in the middle of the blazing heat of sunset valley.

I just pretend that Sunset Valley is in a warm climate, like the southern USA or South America.

California, Florida, and Texas celebrate Christmas too. So lots of other places around the world where it's blazing hot despite it being Christmas.

That's what I do - pretend sunset valley has a hot climate, but the ocean is cold, so you can't swim in it.

Re: Christmas Set is confirmed now to be hitting the sims 3 stor
oh no I am fully aware that not everyone celebrates christmas in winter, but chrismas for me is cold weather and maybe even snow, and wrapping up warm etc etc. Thats what christmas IS to me, not implying that everywhere snows at the same time

Re: Christmas Set is confirmed now to be hitting the sims 3 stor
You could still have all your sims wear sweaters and warm clothing and put a fire in the fireplace and pretend it's cold, even without snow. Don't get me wrong, I was praying the first EP was weather and I'm still hoping the second one will be, but you can still have Christmas fun without snow.

Re: Christmas Set is confirmed now to be hitting the sims 3 stor
I really hope the second EP is a seasons/weather EP it would make the game so much more fun for me and then all these holiday items they're releasing in the store would just be so much more worth it.
