That really doesn't mean anything. For all we know that could just be a prediction and based on no actual information.

And anyways, we all know the PC version is superior to the console versions, as always.

Some games are better on consoles, and some are better on PC. The Sims is one of those games that is a whole lot better on PC.

yeah, I prefer PC version too. And for consoles they always make random crappy spinoffs for it aswell. I have sims castaways. Which i admit was quite fun for a bit, but after a week, i haven't played it since.

Sims 2 for the Xbox was awesomeish. No kids and upstairs were kind of a bummer.
I just hope Sims 3 360 isn't as crap as Sims 1 Xbox.

The Sims games aren't fun unless you can download custom content in my opinion. Can't do that on consoles, that's for sure

Can't do that on consoles, that's for sure Thats never been an issue for me on the console and handheld versions, the story tends to move away from the fact that the games only have a few sets of furniture and they are all themed. The main reason that the PC version is better is because Simulation and strategy games are typically easier played with a mouse and keyboard. The formula for The Sims is point and click, if you take the mouse away the game feels a lot different to play. Im interested to see how the console and handheld versions are made fresh and how they utilise the current generation of hardware. I wouldn't predict second story homes this time either, it makes the game easier to play on a console when its all one floor, in my opinion.

Although point and click WOULD work for the Nintendo wii. Just with graphics like pacman

Ew... Console versions... My first experience with The Sims was on the GCN. I hated the game back then... The console versions are no fun.

I just hope Sims 3 360 isn't as crap as Sims 1 Xbox. The Sims 1 for console was the better game out of all of them. It all went down hill after Urbz because Bustin' Out was out of this world awesome! The Sims 2 for console was terrible, they really didn't get the formula right, the same with Castaway. I am very curious as to what they will do with the next generation consoles power.

I feel the same, i loved them all up until TS2 which was just boring. I enjoyed Castaway though, i guess probably because of the novelty value. But i will admit that the loads were far too long as was TS2 Pets which in my opinion was the most boring as there was very little to do.

jonny159 wrote: Bustin' Out was out of this world awesome! I agree! Bustin' Out for xBox was the first sims game I ever owned! I also had Urbz, for xBox and DS, and I liked both versions. But I really don't consider either of those to be sims games, they're just so different.

Sims 1 and Busting Out were okay, but nowhere near as good as the pc versions. Sims 1 was the only one with a decent free play mode.

Sims Bustin' Out was so much fun! Ahhhh, I have too many memories with that thing. First Sims game I ever played, and I was only 11 years old. It was a really funny, modern game and you had so many options to design your sim.
... The rest of the Sims console games were pretty bleh for me. They just kept going downhill. And I've said this many times, but I'll say it again, the sims in TS2 for consoles were absolutely atrocious.
Since PS3 and Xbox360 are such huge systems, maybe TS3 for those consoles won't be too bad.

Re: Sims 3 on PS3,360,Wii and DS
I agree. Bustin out was always my favorite. I still put some of the music in my game now. They really need to look at that to see what they need to have more of in the games. One issue I have with the console games is that they are way too long. You have to have all skills built up with no cheats (well almost no cheats) and get to a lever 10 in all careers. That takes way too long. I never play a single family for that long.
