Well, I don't know about that last part, but if so, it should also make your sim an insane, inappropriate, snob, absent-minded, childish, clumsy, grumpy couch potato who is easily impressed, from the lack of proper nutrients and absence of critical thinking. Most people don't know about PETA that they are hypocrites who kill animals themselves, not to eat but to make a profit.

I read this too - its kind of pointless.
A lot like the trait, i never use this trait as it doesn't actually DO anything but give a different name to foods, its totally pointless.

I have heard some weird stuff about them (and south park enjoys taking the out of them too!)

I f ing HATE PETA. I absolutely love animals, but the way they go about doing what they do is SO hypocritical. They protest outside animal shelters for putting the animals to sleep, then one year PETA themselves euthanized %90, I repeat %90 of all the animals that came into their care. They only adopted out 7 out of some 2,000 animals and killed the rest. I have absolutely no respect for them. Especially since they donated over $10,000 to a convicted arson and felon who burned down an animal testing plant. Also, if you ever go on their sad excuse for a website, there comments from the people who go there are SO ridiculous, particularly the comments on a topic about a girl who got extremely sick from E Coli from eating a burger, and people were actually saying they hope she had died because she ate animal meat. The owner and head of PETA (fucking cunt) said that if there was a drowning dog and retarded baby, she would save the dog. Another one of PETA's heads takes prescription drugs for her diabetes which was tested on animals, which PETA is COMPLETELY against and want's to eliminate, yet when she was confronted about the issue all she said was the animals used "sacrificed" themselves for her so she could continue what they are doing. PETA also wants to completely eliminate ALL domesticated animals (total animal liberation), which means no more pets, cattle, farms, etc, and that all animals must be released into the wild IMMEDIATELY. F PETA, they are probably my most hated group of people on the face of the planet

Well for instance, PETA claim to "rescue" pets and then go out in the media and ask for donations, get millions, and then they ended up killing more than 95% of the pets they "rescued" and pocketed the cash!

I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I almost find it a little embarrassing that PETA awarded The Sims 3 an "award". I don't want anything to do with PETA, yet now I find myself playing a game they are so happy with

So what if you can be a vegetarian in the game, you can also be a ravenous carnivore too. I don't see any point to the vegetarian trait anyway. It only allows you to become sick easier.

Basically PETA believes that if you eat meat, you are evil, and are the equivalent to Nazi's killing Jews in the Holocaust. Also if you own a pet you are going against what PETA stands for. ALSO... if you purchase maple syrup from Canada, you are considered evil by PETA because you are supporting a countie's economy where seal slaughter takes place.

Oh yeah, PETA also PRAISED Timothy McVeigh for the bombings he did, they say that killing an animal is no morally different than killing a human being, and they donate thousands upon thousands of dollars to ALF and ELF terrorist organizations who go out and commit murders and arson. Can you tell by now I hate PETA?

Organizations like PETA prey on people's good nature who want to do the right thing, and they appeal to our best mammalian instincts and flash us pictures of other cute mammalian adolescents which are scientifically (and evolutionarily) designed to evoke emotion. PETA HQ has a huge walk in freezer where they keep all the dead animals they euthanize :(

Yeah this award isn't something I would brag about if I were Sims 3, but then again, most people's perception of PETA is positive...

Thank God your weird American groups don't span out through various countries. We have the RSPCA - Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Who actually encourage adoption of pets, they take in baby animals like kittens and puppies and sell them in vet offices, already pre-microchipped, registered and desexed.

You have the RSPCA too? Awesomesauce! My dog was a dog that was rescued by them. As for PETA, I'm not a big fan of organisations which antagonize their own race, especially when the CEO's are the antagonists. Like Little-V said: I'm ashamed I play the game which was awarded by this sick company. However I do take solace in the fact they obviously know such little about the game: "age slower", Sims can't age slower, they are litterally like a timer, one Sim's aging is equal to anothers.

I was just reading on PETA's website all the close minded and ridiculous comments from PETA members. These are actual comments from the mouths of PETA members. Behold these close-minded fucks who consider animal life more sacred than human life. This is the ACTUAL mentality of PETA members ....

I disagree with hunting, and wild captivity unless unneccissary (or part of a breeding program..say zoos!) And i must admit, all of those comments are far fetched, the most outragious being the one about the woman fishing, and the woman eating the burger.

I know PETA probably won't reason, but eating a burger is the same as a Cheetah eating a Worthogg, sadly I admit its the food chain.
I personally would like to be veggie - as my veiw is 'nothing has to die for me to survive', but i also understand meat is a needed part of the human diet.

As for the trainer being crushed by the orca. It is true that captive marine mammals ARE more intelligent than deserving to be in concrete pools, but do PETA realise that the marine mammals actually become attached to their trainers, as they are the people who give them stimulation of the mind, and reward them for it!

The comments on the topics about E Coli really anger me on their website. I had the potentially deadly strain of E Coli recently, and I know how miserable it is. I literally wanted to die I was in so much pain, relied on prescription pain meds to keep me from wanting to kill myself, and was hospitalized twice, so to hear those poor excuses for humans say those things about the people that have suffered really piss me off. And here's the best part......

I got my E Coli poisoning from BEAN SPROUTS. Not meat, not an animal bi-product, a vegetable. PETA members are so ignorant, they don't even know that leafy greens is the #1 cause of food borne illness, not meat.

Guess what PETA, ground beef isn't even on the list, and HALF off all the food on that list are VEGETABLES. PETA members constantly boast about how they think they are immune to food borne illnesses just because they don't eat meat. Dumbasses.
