Little-V, love is blind, so you'll find it anywhere, I mean that through age, appearance, etc.

I wasn't really talking about love, because I do think I've been in love before (without being liked back, obviously), so therefore I'm not sure how much I agree with that. I guess I half do, in places.

Well yeah, of course there are exceptions to the norm, some people just happen to find the person they are meant to be with at a young age. Although there's a reason why the divorce rate increases exponentially the younger you are when you are married. They're lucky they found their right match and actually stayed together so young, cause for the norm of society, it takes a long time to find the right person, and age has a huge thing to do with it.

Here's some interesting numbers:

Divorce rate by age:
_____Age_________Women_____Men
Under 20 years old____36.6%_____11.7%
20 to 24 years old_____27.6%_____38.8%
25 to 29 years old_____16.4%_____22.3%
30 to 34 years old_____8.5%______11.6%
35 to 39 years old_____5.1%______6.5%

That's the divorce rate. When you get married to someone at that age it's different than being in a relationship at that age (even if you've been in it since you were like 15 or something) and getting married when you're like 30.

They probably more or less represent relationships too, though, in a very vague way.

I'm surprised though, I'd expect it to be a lot higher.

And... how come it's far higher for woman or men at points? I know some marry to people of different ages, but 25% is a large difference.

I think that is because frequently women are younger than men in relationships. The age difference has something to do with it I guess. Although it's crazy how for men it jumps from 11% to 38%. I wonder why that is.

I guess the under 20 women all marry the 20 - 24 men.

Are those statistics based on the age they are when they file for divorce or the age they were when they got married? Because i could see how teen divorces could be small since they might make it until like 20 and then divorce.

@Justin

I'm guessing they're more likely when they file for it. The younger category is pretty relevant to the age they got married. Though, I guess it can both ways. Enlighten us. What are those stats based on?

Randomly dating can be fun, but it sort of becomes pointless after a while...especially if you don't really like any of the guys you're randomly dating. When you feel nothing it really...means nothing, you know? Just being physical isn't really that great when you don't like...have big feelings for the person and just think they're hot or something. Usually I just end up being like 'can you go home now' because I get bored =P

Also, to be on topic...I've always identified myself as a COMPLETE HETEROSEXUAL MAN HUNK LOVER but I met this girl at a party who totally like, captivated me. I'm not sure if I had like a thing for her or if I just envied her? I don't know. Hmmm. I've made out with girls before...but that usually involves alcohol.

And, uh, I'm glad to have shared all that with you guys!

Wait, who are you saying that to?

I don't even know if she's single or if she's the right one.

I agree with a majority of this.

Oh, I have more to add. I'm now in a relationship. Huzzah! Yeah, I know that teenage "love" is usually the equivalent to the love experienced by adults involved in a one night stand, although there is something which is actually aiding this relationship to be slightly more sincere. Due to the social taboos on any homosexual relationship, we've been so much more cautious than what you might expect from a straight couple and it's this which have allowed us to retain and respect each other's dignity. I don't know, perhaps this is the same for everyone and I just haven't experienced it (understandable, I'm only 14), although it seems rather nice.

I seem to be thinking that 97% of relationships are false. I know that's untrue, but I still think that. When people say they love someone, and talk about them the whole time and is completely obsessed with them [at least for teenagers], I know that means the relationship will fail. I don't like being so confident with ideas, but the amount of times I've seen it happen is enough to know. That's probably not always true, but generally it seems to be. I'd like to think if I were in a relationship I'd be a tad more subtle.

Or maybe I just get annoyed by people going on about their love lives.
