Post The Sims 3 Expansion Packs
I don't know if there is already a thread but I thought we'll start again!

So the question; What would you have as an expansion for The Sims 3?
Idea's not allowed as they are said a lot: Seasons & Pets

Apartment Life-esque EP. After Seasons it was my favourite, but SOMEONE had to go and say I couldn't say them. ¬_¬

Something tells me that the days of the old expansion packs have came to an end. Sims 3 is taking a different direction.

I'd have said WA was and old idea reconfigured. The concept of Sims taking trips is old, they just jazzed up what they did once they arrived. As for Ambitions, lets face it, we don't know enough to say either way. It could be a spiced up Business for all we know *shrug*

I think that the old expansion packs won't be making a return, accept the most popular, which appear to be pets and seasons.
*they're the too i'm holding out for**

along with what erry said about magic etc :)

Something really original plz.

I could have dealt with WA but Ambitions just sounds like another rehash of OFB with a new spin. Maybe something classical like "TS3: VISIT THE VICTORIANs" or something. Or you know, "TS3: IKEA FAMILY FUN."

I agree. I think they are still doing old ones but upgrading them to fit the new gameplay and open world of Sims 3.
Based on the format of Sims 3 alone, any old idea will seem like a new one. All it takes is slight modifications and then add in the elements of the open world, skill building, collecting, and ect, and all the sudden it looks like an expansion pack never before seen lol

Ambitions actually looks fun. With the addition of the trailer and info floating around. Its given us a good enough of an idea that its not going to be quite like Open for Business but some similarities is that we can see our Sims at work.

I can totally see the Fireman career, where you play your sim at the firestation, building up social relationships, completing certain tasks, when all the sudden the bell rings and off your sim goes in autonomy to the firetruck and you watch them drive to the location where house is on fire and you will can control that your sim run in and seek out survivers or something. Should be pretty cool! :excited:

I think the Sims 3 EPs are built on previous themes, but taken in a new direction. OFB was fun but since the Sim was self-employed, you could kind of do whatever you want and it didn't matter. I think with Ambitions, Sims will have regular jobs and still have bosses to answer to, regular work hours, that sort of thing, but we'll get to go to work with them instead of just making them work whenever we want.

I'm all for original and new EPs but at the same time, if it isn't broke, don't fix it: still waiting for pets and seasons/weather!

I'd frankly like an expansion pack that focuses on building and designing, since i love that aspect of the series quite mostly

I really want a Nature EP. I'd like it to include pets and seasons but we're not allowed to say that so...

-Scuba Diver Career (with new 'surf hut' job location by the beaches) which requires body, fishing and...
-Diving Skill
-The ability to buy and go for rides in boats (sailboats, motorboats, canoes, kayaks) and a new marina location
-Beekeeping and Honeymaking
-Mountain Bikes and new nature trails for them
-Treehouses
-New pool options
-Strollers to take babies on walks
-Hammocks
-Bench Swings
-Greenhouses
-River in the neighbourhood and the ability to swim in it (as well as ocean)
-Beach interactions, sandcastles, tanning, swimming, collecting seashells
-'Lodge' style furniture including a mounted moose (or llama ;D) head
-A zoo(!) with the option to become a zookeeper
-Farmer's market event outside of the grocery store so you can sell your harvestables, honey and nectar (if you have WA)

Oh please EA, please.

I want an expansion that gives me restaurants, bars, clubs, and other hangout spots(bowling, etc). Then I'll take Open For Business to run said places and own the whole town :XD:

Really in a nut shell: I want Nightlife+Open For Business for Sims 3 :silly:

The open neighbourhood would really be complimented by this EP idea.

Love the treehouse idea, the return of beaches, and the return of the farmers market from unleashed.

I desperately want an expansion pack that focuses on relationships. Not romantic ones, but all relationships. I feel like the Sims don't recognize other people in their lives well enough. Mothers cuddle their babies the same as everyone else does.

I might be reaching, and I don't care so don't bother mentioning that, but I want people to realize that someone is famous (pro athlete, music, w/e) and run up to them and try to be their friend, or follow them home or something creepy. The daughter of said pro whatever should be popular at school, toddlers should want to follow or be like their elder siblings, siblings should be annoyed by the toddlers. That sort of thing.

Yum.

I'm constantly getting popups that so-and-so is no longer a friend. the relationship system desperately needs to be redone. and a Whole EP dedicated to it could simply perfect it.

How about

The Sims 3 Water Fun - expansion would give us new swimsuit styles, even the option to skinnydip if sims would be bold enough. there would be new options and toys and styles for the swimming pool. they could even include the hottub in this one.
