 Create a Pattern Tool
Ea is releasing a Create a Pattern tool for The Sims 3, where we can create patterns for CAS and CASt! It's supposedly going to be released on July 28. Here are some (rather loud) pictures from Snooty Sims and a link to the press release: Press Release

 Re: Create a Pattern Tool
Well it looks quite simple, that anyone could do it. Doesn't necessarily mean you can make good patterns with it, but its no big deal to me.
Im sure whether its simple and easy or difficult and complex someone will complain.

 Re: Create a Pattern Tool
I really hope you will be able to upload your own saved images to use in the tool, and not just the pre-made EA designs.

Wow, that actually looks really good. Although I agree with Little-V, I hope we don't have to use pre-made templates.

 Re: Create a Pattern Tool
We can import our own images. I read that on one of the links found in "The Sims 3 Ambitions Mega-Post" from Simprograms.

Here is a paragraph that talks about CAP from the Mega-Post: Quote: Yes it’s real my friends, but not with ambitions, it’s a separate download like create a world! I do not like create a world, I find it hard to use, but this new one is very easy going, you have complete control and can even import images. Once you have made your Patten……this is the very cool bit….. There is a special button that allows you into this room where you can test your Patten on object and clothing there. It looks great and will open up the game a lot for everyone. Source: molly360I love that we can import our own images, I want to make pajamas like Jackson's from Gilmore Girls, which have a bunch of pictures of himself on them.

It shows in one of the screenshots that we can now re-texture ceilings.
Not sure if this was possible before, I, at least have never been able to do it.

 Re: Create a Pattern Tool
Honestly, I'd doubt it as in CAW wasn't released for Mac.

 Re: Create a Pattern Tool
CaW hasn't been released for Mac because it's STILL IN BETA! In other words, it's still in development.
And yes, CaP is available for Mac. I have it. It's boring so far...

 Re: Create a Pattern Tool
When will create a world tool finally be released as a full version?
I don't see a beta on the pattern tool.

I don't see a beta on the pattern tool. Because it isn't beta... o_O As for your question, no one knows, probably never, knowing EA.

 Re: Create a Pattern Tool
I will doenload it but not yet. Can you make your own patterns from pictures and stuff you've made in Photoshop, or only use the premade EA circles, stars and squares?
