$16.50 for that crap. EA must be high. No offense, but anyone who pays that much for that town is a complete idiot. I probably won't get it at all, but if I do, it'll be gotten elsewhere.

I've got 2 issues with this:

1) Why in god's name would I pay for a complete pirate-themed neighbourhood if all I'm getting is 1 rabbit hole that's pirate styled. If I want to make a pirate family in this neighbourhood it ruins the whole feel of the neighbourhood to have them go to a regular stadium or a regular hospital. Therefore I will not be buying it.

2) Speaking of buying it, $16.50 for a neighbourhood? Are you kidding me?! Stuff packs are a couple bucks more than that and they expect us to pay for a half-baked neighbourhood at that price?

Meh. I won't pay for a new neighborhood alone, especially since I was just looking at the picture and most of the buildings (rabbit holes) are still exactly the same. They could at least re-colour the stadium and the bistro. Fail, EA... fail.

I like the look of the new diner, but apart from that, no thanks, i don't think it looks very piratey at all, although I may be piratey myself, this is very overpriced.
Remeber its still got a while before release, so they might change the rest of the rabbitholes, aparently it comes with a fair few items, so they've got to come into play somewhere...

EA must seriously be on that stuff to even think about charging for a town. There is no way i'm paying for that, i'll make my own before I do that.

It sounds ok. I personally think it should be another register bonus or something along those lines.

Looking at the images it looks to me very much unfinished in areas. It is still a little off there may be improvements made.

Yes but look what their getting. New items, new families, new clothes and new cas assets whatever that means. The beachtown is beautiful. You don't get new families and objects in custom world downloads. Their adding 2 dozen new exclusive objects. No people who are downloading this world arn't idiots. I agree it is way too expensive thou.

Do you really need EA's families? Their sims look unattractive, until CC comes into place.

And for the last time, custom content does it better.

Well I agree that most of the families arn't attractive but the Greenwood's in Twinbrooks were an exception so maybe they will get better at making them.

Edit
I'm not the only one who is going to buy this. Lots of people on the sims 3 forums have said their getting it.

I wouldn't pay money for Ea families....I can make my own very easily....and if I ever do want more I can download other families online. Ea families are nothing special.

I'm perfectly happy with my current custom neighborhood I downloaded. So I don't think I'll bother with this, and if I do it certainly won't be the buying kind of bothering with it. Plus there are many wonderful custom worlds that can equal or even surpass what Ea makes.

Heh...have to find it funny that this is a Pirate town.

Obviously 16 is a bit much...well personally I wouldn't pay more than 5 bucks for this. Simply because I can make my own N'hood (and it would be fun) i can make my own sims also so there :ton:

They need to have some radical out there theme for me to buy a n'hood for 16 dollars. Like...a moon-base or something.

Hmm, ironic that it's a pirate themed neighbourhood, considering that's how most people are going to be getting it.
And I agree, this is a terrible, awful, horrible idea. Charging us for new 'hoods? With pirate clothes that we're never, never in a million years going to use?

Whatever faith I had left in EA being anything other than a money-grubbing spineless deathtrap is dead.

Somehow I just new that Sharkloverplayer would come to EAs' aid in defending this, seeing as he buys anything and everything the store churns out...

Back on topic, even if I DID want a pirate themed town, I'd want a small island, not a giant waste of space like this, i'm fed up of massive towns, i'd much rather have a smaller one, and come to think of it again, they seem to be showing off the beach area from the pictures we've had so far... and what can we do on the beach?
Nothing.
