For those of you who have Late Night, what do you think so far? What are your first impressions or thoughts after your first few minutes or hours of playing?

Here are mine:
I started by selecting a pre-made family by they bored me so I made my own sim. There are some really great new hair options for female sims and some really great clothes as well. I'm really impressed with the additions. Her lifetime wish is to reach level 10 of the Film career and I want her to be a celebrity so I sent her to a High-End club the first night, where the bouncer told her she couldn't go in. She then tried to impress a celeb but didn't do so fast enough. Then she snuck in to the bar but the celebrity noticed she was there and told the bouncer so my sim was kicked out. She was then hunted by a vampire but she started talking to him and nothing happened. I got her a small apartment and renovated it and that's as far as I go.

My initial impression is that this is an awesome EP and it is going to seriously interfere with my job and social life.

im getting it later tonight, i have work but a friend is picking it up along with their copy. I hope its not delayed like Scryer said.... I have a math test tommorow. Oh well, i dont care i want my game! post pics please!!! My great albertan friend.

It looks so awesome, except for the apartment, are all of the penthouses that small?

I played this a lot yesterday and it was fun. My Sim is already a vampire.

My Sim is a aspiring actress, the funny thing is she has 4 stars already and doesn't do anything! This is mainly because of flirting with all the celebs lol, I think it's cool you can be a celeb...but not really do anything. Sorta like some popular people we have today.

The city is really large, really really large. it adds to the importance of having a car otherwise you'll take like a taxi to the subway....then exit out of the subway nearest to your destination only to call another Taxi.

My first impressions are that there are quite a few nice additions to CAS such as hairstyles and clothes. Bridgeport looks really cool and very urban but seems crowded with pre-made Sims so I'll probably delete a lot of them. I found it easy to meet a vampire. I took my new Sim, Eva, to a basement dive bar, and sure enough, there was William Fangmann. They chatted for a while and then I had her go ahead and ask him to turn her into a vampire. He agreed but said they need to go somewhere private. Then I had to quit for the day but I'll play more as soon as I can today! I need to find out more about Mixology 'cause I want Eva to become a Master Mixologist.

No, they're not all that small, some are really quite big and others are even smaller. My sim went to a party one night (which she was invited to because she's a celeb) and it had 6 bedrooms and large living space. It took up the whole top floor.


The hours vary with each club. I think the dance clubs are open from 5:00pm - 4:00am. The dive bars open in the afternoon and close at 3:00am. There's a Sports bar that opens at 11:00am and closes at 2:00 or 3:00am, and the high-end bars I think open at 2:00pm and close at 2:00am. When you mouse over the icon in Map View, it shows the name of the venue and the hours that it's open.

My sim meets vampires everywhere! I hated how hard it was to find them in Nightlife but in Late Night, they're all over the place. My sim is constantly hunted but never drank from yet.

Well, I don't have the game yet, but I managed to force my game to make a sim with vampire characteristics (so the glowing eyes and skin) (yes, I didn't use any CC I used a debug feature to override the sim with Late Night vampire characterists which had been implemented via the patch) AND ANYWAY, the vampire look is su classy, 10x better than the blue failures we were given in TS2. THEIR EYES <3

(If anyone without Late Night wanna see it in game get the NRaas DebugEnabler (google it) then click on the sim > NRaas > DebugEnabler (or just Debug I forget) > Options > then go through the menus until you find Visual Override and then play around with the options, to remove it, just go to that menu again and turn it off. ;D)

Where!? The best I could find so far was One Leo Something-or-rather... And that was only two bedrooms. Where did you find this giant one? I want it!

anyone know where to find those attachable seats? you know to make a booth.

Well I'm enjoying it, for the most part. The city really does feel big. I just wish some of the buildings weren't compressed into 1, like the military, law, and political career all in a single building. I suppose I could fix that my self by changing the city around. I think there could be more houses too, there seem to be too few, also something I suppose I could fix

I had to change the skintone of my vampire sim, because I kind of gave her a pale vampire skin color to begin with, but once she turned vamp for real, her skin kind of became more pale and it just looked weird

The mass amount of taxis is a nice touch, along with the pigeons here and there, you really feel like you're in a city

I ran into a couple minor bugs, but they ended up kind of fixing them selves. The first was I had my sim raid the hospital for plasma, which apparently are the exact same drink you get out of the fridge (should have known ). She came out with 4 in her inventory, so I thought "well I guess that saves me having to go back to my fridge for one". But sadly I was wrong. After some hours later, they apparently spoiled in her inventory. They didn't look spoiled, or say they were spoiled, but I got a notice saying she had spoiled food in her inventory. I threw them all away, and the negative moodlet still remained (was the only food in her inventory). With testing cheats enabled, I had to ctrl click the moodlet for it to finally go away

The 2nd was I had my vampire sim "hunt". About 5 other nearby sims started to do their nifty predator glow, but then some of them started to leave the lot before she could finish the hunt. After she was done, it gave me no target, but she got a want/wish to feed from her target. Later, I ran into one of the sims that left in the middle of her hunt. I knew it was one, because the sim was still glowing Doing another hunt seemed to fix that atleast. The 2nd time no one left the lot and I got a target

As for vampires them selves, the whole brefriending thing to feed/turn other sims is annoying the hell out of me (just like I knew it would ) I have alot on my current agenda with non-sim related things, but I'm about to bump modding vampires to the top I'm still hoping someone else will beat me to it so I wont have to go through the hassle of doing it my self

Besides that, I'm pretty happy with everything else so far. I haven't messed with celebs too much just yet. I'm trying to see how fast/slow it takes to become a celeb on your own without interacting with other celebs

Is it just me or are there only two hot tubs? Weren't we told there would be more?

I believe I saw one or two more in the buydebug menu (might be 1 more, I'm too tired to remember at the moment). I really like the hottub with the bamboo

Also, vampires live a REALLY long time I play on the longest lifetime, and my young adult sim has like 1,100 days till adulthood

One thing is that the plasma drinks don't satisfy your vampire for too long. But I really like the boost you get from having donors. Lol my sim has like 3 or 4 of them to depend on. My sim can feed off one for the morning and won't need another drink until late at night. One thing about biting is the relationship doesn't need to be that high, and also once you get the first bite on a sim you can always depend on getting more. Biting daily is a good relationship boost lol, probably the best on the game.

I also feel like n'hood has too few houses though. My sim had a lot of money now (because of who she married) but there are really no big mansions to move into. The Celebs have occupied all of the houses in the hills except for one. I dont' see any luxury penthouses either but I think the other Celebs are in those too.

Am I the only one who doesn't have a letter box, just a few envelopes on the ground?

I've hardly played (about an hour) but so far I'm loving it

Edit: My sim just got the wish to skinny dip and I got excited and cancelled it by mistake Not happy. The more I see the more I think sims 3 is starting to flesh out nicley but that's just my opinion.

How high were your relationships before you could drink from other sims? I tried to do the "make sim think of me" action, which actually boosted their relationship quiet abit, and then I tried to do the "Drink" option, but my sim gets rejected every single time. It makes the whole "hunt" thing feel pointless to a blood sucking evil vampire who just wants a meal, not make friends (Which I'm currently working on fixing ). I don't mind the whole "friend doner" thing, but it's not something I want my more evil vampires to rely on

I've also noticed that it seems like sims stalk mine. I swear where ever I go, there's a giant group that suddenly shows up. Every time I go to work, a large group of random sims will show up outside the rabbit hole and just stand around, chat, or start playing instruments. Is this normal? It's been so long since I've played my game without awsomemod (which I believe stops sims flocking to your own)

There's alot more vampire sims than I originally thought. They seem to blend in pretty well most of the time, which is cool. For me it's hard to notice the glowing eyes if I'm zoomed in really close (also depending on their original eye color, or if it's morning or night), but easier to see if I'm zoomed out abit. I feel like I don't have to worry about them like I did in TS2

Edit: I will also agree that celebs seem to be hogging all the big houses outside of the city. The EA sims always seem to occupy the big nice houses, like EA is giving them special treatment or something, leaving hardly any nice ones to the player. It's kind of annoying
