I hate coming across as stupid but... How do you get gigs?? I've formed a
Band and I can't figure out how to get any gigs... Even when I play for tips I get nothing...

Don't have the game but I remember reading in an article (think it was a gamestop one) that you had to wait to get called on the phone to do a gig....which could take several sim days. There isn't a way to try get them yourself.

I was about to rant about not getting gigs either but now I see why. After doing some reading on the official forum, I was linked to a blog about starting a band and here is the answer to my problem:

yeh i guess you can play with 1 or 2-3 people live anyway at bars so its ok :)

Does registering a band make your quit your current job?

Yeah But only the leader the one that goes to register the band at city hall,I did all the above things and I still get no gigs.
is anybody else getting gigs because I'm starting to think that it's fault with the game.

think it might be a fault, having same problem, do all the sims have to be in the same household, if so then its crap

Mine are all un the same household and still I had only one gig in 4 week sims time.Crappy EA will have to arrange this with a patch or something.

I'm finally getting gigs now that my band has 4 sims - two that live in the same household and two friends - and now one of the friends is glitched and they can't play gigs!! The glitched sim doesn't have a pictures in the relationship panel. My sim can call and chat with him and I've tried inviting him over a few times and he always says he'll be right over but never shows up.

When I tried to have my sims play a gig, I clicked on the keyboard and chose "Play Gig" and it immediately transported my sim back to her house. I can't even kick him out of the band because he never comes over. It's so frustrating and I'm mad at EA for taking away all the TestingCheatsEnabled options because if I had those, I'm fairly certain that I could add him to my family and then KILL HIM!

deleted my town and started over and now getting gigs, thinks there is a glitch in the game
