Post Actor Backlot
So Bridgeport really isn't my cup of tea and I love Twinbrook so I was wondering is there any place that I can put the Actor Backlot at in Twinbrook? I feel like I've tried everywhere and still it doesn't fit  If anyone has any ideas let me know! Thanks!

P.S. I made Twinbrook over in CAW but I ended up having lots of bugs so I'd rather not do it that way

Copy him to the libary.
And then place him in Bridgeport.
Its as simple as that

When you click on his household from Edit town mode, there should be an option to Copy.
Then he will appear in the Sims libary so you can just place him into twinbrook when you load it up

Hope that helps x

I had the same trouble placing lots that I liked in Bridgeport into Twinbrook because of the way it's made. I didn't make it in CAW, i'm using the regular one. I ended up having to bulldoze a lot of lots just to fit in new lots from Bridgeport

yeah the world editor is of no help at all. If I bulldoze a 64x64 lot then I should be able to replace it with a 64x64 lot but you can't for some reason or I can't anyways

Are you doing it in "Edit in Game" mode? Because in that mode you can bulldoze all the lots you want but you can't replace them with the lot-making tool that came with ambitions. So what you need to do is go back into the standard CAW mode and use the create-a-lot tool.

I'm not too sure why this is but I have a feeling that the EIG mode's lot-making tool (from ambitions) has data that isn't recognized by the CAW system.

You mean getting a copy of Twinbrook into CAW and doing it that way? I've already done that and no thank you lol I spent a week trying that and 3 days with it screwed up and 8000 files on my desktop  that was a really bad experience. Then when I did get it installed into the game after I fixed it up there were so many glitches it wasn't funny  so now I have to wait for them to quit being stupid and making things harder then they should be. I didn't know when you're in EIG mode that you can actually place lots I thought that was the World Editor tool which imo is a waste of space that thing don't do crap :meh:

You see this is how CAW can be a real turn-off. With that system you can get a smooth run when you create a world from scratch but when it comes to editing an EA world, it can get glitchy.

I'm not quite sure that I understand you here but let me try: Edit in game mode (EIG) is a part of the create-a-world (CAW) tool. If you have Ambitions, you can place lot-grids in the world. When Ambitions came out, CAW had an update and when you used the EIG mode you could place lot-grids like you would in the game. So you're complaining about the CAW tool?

I will come to the defence of the CAW tool because I have had to deal with more complicated systems. For example if you ever try to edit/create a map for "Battle for Middle-Earth/2", there are a ton of things that are similar and more complicated than the CAW tool. One thing being that you have to blend your textures into each other while with CAW you just have to set your falloff percentage to 0%.

CAW is a very simple system only when it comes to creating a new world or editing other players' worlds. But as soon as you load up an EA world, you're screwed basically.

Oops :shy: I was totally bashing on the world editor tool not CAW I got the two confused sorry. When read EIG I was thinking world editor lol Yeah when you were saying that everything runs smooth in CAW except when you try to edit an EA made world I totally agree.

"Him"?
The OP is asking about where to place a lot. (Actor Backlot) I'm not sure where you got the idea that she needed to move a Sim.

You can use "World Editor" to create five empty lots (three 64x64, one 50x50, and one 40x40) on the hill behind #156-#178 Savannah Lane in Twinbrook (use< and> to adjust the fittness). Use "Save Copy to Library" in Bridgeport to copy the buildings, including Bars and Night Clubs, you want to put into Twinbrook.

But the thing is when your sim reaches level 7 in Film career, she can't go to work just like some people have this issue in Bridgeport. You have to "Shift Click" the mailbox to set her up one level in order that she can go to work again. Even if you had edited the lots and buildings to "Vistors Allowed" wouldn't solve this problem.

Another thing is you have to wait quite a long time for other sims in Twinbrook to become celebrities then your sim may have the chance to become one of them 'cause I don't know any other way. To save time, I cheated by using NRaas MasterController "Make Active" so that all the townies in the neighborhood know each other. But to wait for the first sim to become a celebrity in town do take some time.

After all, I still uninstalled Late Night to wait for the patch for it from EA. By then I may play the game much more comfortably, I hope.

I find that the way Twinbrook is made makes it difficult to place lots because of all the curves and landscape.
