there is no version of Coconut Island that has any changes to the sky and water. Only if you add the mod to your folder(that azara linked) will it change the sky/water. The pictures you saw from Kira and I are from adding the mod into our folder.

Hmm, you should box it up and sell it for $20 per person when you're done, that's what EA'd do. I'm holding out for the finished version so I can explore it properly, although the screenshots are very tempting.

It's almost done, I am still busy outside of Sims, so it's been moving at a snails pace! Honestly, the last update I did was pretty much the finished world minus a few tombs/hidden locations. So if you don't want to wait for the few more hidden stuff, dive right in and have fun! http://www.mediafire.com/?d20luzjdsnpvdmtThanks Blupest for the analysis! I'll definitely fix the problem, I have a good idea what is causing it now! I have been trying to install Coconut Island3, I click on the address above. It takes me to mediafire.com I clicked on download starting I say save and it is saved to my desktop I click on it and it starts a download to my game I then look for it in downloads and click it to install but when I go to the game, It is not in the list to play. So what am I doing wrong. Please someone help me out, I so want this Island.

Evalen, I had that problem before. I think it might be because I had the 1st Coconut Island installed and it wouldn't let me install Coconut Island 3. I ended up having to use a .world file for awhile. Then I decided to uninstall the 1st one and when I went to install the package again for Coconut Island 3, the launcher accepted it . Which really surprised me. I still don't understand why...it's just weird. But now I can't install the 1st Coconut Island. But at least I have the latest one

Do you think that I will still be able to use my saved games of Coconut Island 2, if I delete the world for it.

Re: Coconut Island 3.0 BETA! *Updated Jan 22 2011*
You should be able to use the save file for the world as long as it is in your EA folder when you update with further EA updates. I have found that if I update and I do not have the save file in there for the world, I can no longer play that saved game. But yeah, uninstalling a world will not make the save game unplayable.
Just make sure when you take the world out of your game that you place the save file somewhere else on your computer so that it doesn't get deleted. Then just put it back in the EA folder so when you decide you want to play that world again, the save file is there.

Re: Coconut Island 3.0 BETA! *Updated Jan 22 2011*
Took a break from tombs and finished up the new fire station! It has been completely redone and relocated. Not far, just a few lots over where Coconut Village leads out into The Dunes. The ground story is a garage and lobby area. I wanted to make the fire engine rusty and block it off to give the slight illusion that it's out of service(for obvious reasons - no road!). The lower levels are the living quarters. You have a common room on one floor and sleeping quarters below. I really want to state that I am sorry that it has taken so long to finish this, I definitely blew the original date. I got in way over my head with tomb building, and having a more limited time working on the island in the last two months has taken its toll. I should of released 3.0 without all the tombs and saved them for 4.0, but I am fighting through it! I'm going to continue to highlight other areas that I haven't quite shown before every few days for those who haven't downloaded the world yet and are waiting. Just to wet the apatite a little and keep you interested! I'd like to think that those who have been play testing can definitely say that the wait will be worth it!

I downloaded it and am playing with my test sim. I always use him as he is neat, outdoor trait, so he is perfectly happy here.' I don't mind deleting him and the world when the complete version comes out. I just love, love this island It is so amazing, I can't believe that you have what you have on this island. Everything is so beautiful. I am getting use to it, so that when I download the finished version, I'll be a little use to it for my sim family. I sure hope that I can download the finished one. thank you for this island. I can see how much work went into it. But I do know that when you use your passion for something, It is not hard work, it is fun. I can tell you have a passion for coconut Island projects. keep up with the good work.

Re: Coconut Island 3.0 BETA! *Updated Jan 22 2011*
Well i have downloaded coconut Island 3 Beta I am trying to test it The one thing that I have found out is tha the Game of Kings does not work. I have tried 3 so far. What happens is you click on to play and that works, you say play with so and so, but when the game starts one of the sims steps up to throw the baton, but turns around and throws it somewhere other then at the game. All three so far do this, the one at the campground, the one at the swimming hole, and the one at the community lot I think that is the name. Well back to testing. by the way, I love the subway. I have discovered that the pizza man comes, the maid, and the repair man all come. That is nice. Do not know about the firemen as I have not had a fire.

Re: Coconut Island 3.0 BETA! *Updated Jan 22 2011*
I'm so glad to see you still working on this hood. I appreciate the time and effort you have made to create such a beautiful hood for us to enjoy. I started playing this hood around the beginning of February. I haven't explored as much as some people but I've been having fun watching it fill up. Currently it has 106 residents. I mainly use twallans mods. I have been doing some of my own construction and modifying, just to add in some more single beds and cribs and to fix some routing issues, but I've left most of it alone. I've noticed that routing issues can have a profound effect on the game. Some things i have found/fixed: The problem with some of the mixologists is the construction of the lots they work on. I have seen people speculate that it has something to do with where the mixologist is standing and stomping, but mine stand and stomp in an open area on the fishing hole island. 1) The Red Baron - I don't think the mixologist can walk between the bar stools and the stairs, so i took out a counter at the other end of the bar and the mixologist reports to work on time now. I've also taken out the small pieces of fence on either side of the lot because when the sims were leaving they would leave by the back door and they were getting stuck behind those pieces of fence. 2)The Underground, and The Shark Club - The problem is the same on both lots, the elevators. I have noticed in other hoods as well as this one that if an elevator has even the smallest bit of another object in it's footprint it eventually becomes unusable to the sims. It took me a while to figure this out because the sims would seem to have no problems using the locations for a sim week or so but would eventually have route failure. I edited both lots to take out anything that would cause the elevators not able to be placed. I made sure i had "moveobjects off" and i would pick up the elevator and/or shafts and try to place it, if i couldn't because of an object I'd get rid of the objects. There were paintings on the walls, lights, archways, the subway grating on the floor, no floor, no wall, black lights, water jets, dance floor, posts, quite a few things, but after i just got rid of or moved those objects and made sure i could place the elevators without using cheats then they were fixed. Now, the mixologists and the residents have no problems getting into those lots. Even though i did get rid of those objects it made very little difference to the looks of the place. 3) 4 Oasis Way - I couldn't understand what the problem was with this lot for a while.. i just knew that any family living there would never leave. Then one night my sim was invited to a party on the lot and i noticed he kept failing to get there. So, I manually directed him there until he got the hill on the stairs side of the lot. I had to direct my sim to 6 locations to get around that hill. I don't use CAW so i can't say what the problem with that hill is, but i suspect it's just a little too steep for the sims to negotiate it. For the moment I've made that the home of the register clerks because twallans mods are determined to give them a home, even though they never leave their registers. I've noticed the same thing too, the backwards playing, but i thought it might have been because of a mod i have. Thanks again for the wonderful hood, I'm really looking forward to the next version.

Re: Coconut Island 3.0 BETA! *Updated Jan 22 2011*
Hey Scratch, welcome! Thanks for the info, it has all been jotted down for my next round of play testing. The Game of Kings game is definitely a mystery Evalen. I've seen that for a while now. I'll see if placing in fresh ones will fix it. Scratch, from some of your descriptions, it sounds like you're working on a slightly older version. I have an unofficial version here, not to say that the problems you listed were fixed, http://www.mediafire.com/?d20luzjdsnpvdmt I'm still working on all the tombs(there's a whole story spread across a dozen+ locations), but there will be one more update before release once the tombs are done. I should of saved all the tomb stuff for 4.0, but I was already in deep during 3.0's development. I have a few days coming up that I can spend more time on the world and get these tombs finished! It doesn't help when you spend 2-4 hours designing a tomb only to play test it and the whole concept falls apart before your eyes in a matter of seconds...but hey, you learn. After the dozen or so times of this...
