 Re: Confirmed Features in Generations
I really hope it comes with a new NH, Bridgeport really isn't a good neighborhood for families and the older towns don't have the right lot sizes for most of the clubs and community lots from Late Night. I'm not into building enough to make my own all the time. Hopefully they will announce something soon... it's been almost a week since the announcement, I want to see more screenshots and videos!

I hope we get a new family-friendly NH + lots of cool content like new lots, preferably more jobs than daycare (how is that going to be executed anyway? I mean seriously, my town barely got toddlers and they will age up really quickly...) I hope we get a unique life state for once and not just a sim that can walk through walls, a sim that lives longer and walks slowly, a sim that cant swim/eats scrap or a sim that drinks blood + lives longer. I WANT SOMETHING DIFFERENT DAMN IT!Right now it seems like imaginary friends are either going to be amazing, or just ghosts that you can talk to when you are bored that can also take out your trash.

 Re: Confirmed Features in Generations
Imaginary sims see their sim-friend while they are a puppet and an actual imaginary sim. Imaginary sims appear to have their own color Only sims with imaginary friends can see them. Switch to a different sim and the imaginary sim becomes invisible Imaginary sims can be transformed into real sims, while being an imaginary sim, almost all interactions can be carried out. New community playground – many recreational items for kids which includes a slide, climbing tower, sandbox, seesaw, swing and hopscotch field. Strollers are fully useable and you can transport young sims from point A to point B Treehouses make an appearance! Children can play and interact with sims below by pouring water on them, as well as struggle against pirates. New object – Bunk Beds. There are bunk beds with 1 or two beds. With 1 bed, you can place objects underneath them like sofas or desks. With both beds, they can be used by up to two sims. With pranks, neighbors can call the police if young sims play pranks on them. Parents can punish them. Sims can manipulate sinks and water will squirt in others sims face. There is a water ride for the Sims. It can be used by the whole family and pool is not required (I’m not 100% sure of this translation) Sims can tell scary stories and some may have nightmares. Wedding Arch object returns – Sims can cut the wedding cake together. Dating returns to the game. With the video camera, sims can make videos of themselves and watch them on their tvs. From here: http://simway.net/die-sims-3-lebensfreu ... e-features (translated)

So...does that mean they the puppet isn't actually the imaginary friend, but instead helps the person to get one? Own color, uh...So they are like ghosts you cant see through? Wait, it just hit me: Only sims with imaginary friend s can see them.Does that mean I can have more than one? Or is it a translation mistake?

 Re: Confirmed Features in Generations
The thing about the water ride not needing a pool is a bit misleading, but I think it will be the thing from the trailer where the family are sliding along it on their bellies, (used to do that myself with a plastic tarp, hosepipe and washing up liquid!!)

Yeah, the translation looks really shaky. I think they are just talking about the waterslide. *ahhem* DIVING BOARDS. WTF?!

 Re: Confirmed Features in Generations
Dating is back I don't know what took them so long, this should be a base game feature. I hope it is something better than just a outing with another sim (because we can do that already) I'm hoping it is something like TS2 with a meter and stuff.

 Re: Confirmed Features in Generations
I never really did the dating much - it was too easy! You could just look at their aspiration wishes and accomplish them - most of them would be 'get back rub from' etc. Although in ts3, inactive sims don't have wishes to accomplish do they?

Inactive sims only got wishes in Awesome Mod, but not otherwise. Pretty lame if you ask me. I really never dated, I thought it was much cooler to watch my neighbours date each other :D

 Re: Confirmed Features in Generations
New Information about Generation: There’s no new town in Sims 3 Generations, everything happens In Sunset Valley. There are no new rabbit holes, but EA added 10 new lots to place in your town, for example Playground (and where are we suppose to do that?) New spiral staircase added, also new type of windows Cant translate it but think that the memories system will work without Generations (I think) Customizing body hair in CAS Careers from Ambitions are extended New profession added – Baby sitter (running a day care). Any sims can leave a child with you in specific hours. Babysitters also need to babysit bad children which brawl, and for that there’s a new trait – protective (or it will be called different) Can’t translate the next one but I think it says that thanks to the science lab in your home you can make potions that help you with fast learning If teens have played a trick on neighbors, they can escape the punishment by drinking Ninja Vanish-Potion which they produced in the chemistry kit. (They teleport home) The video camera. When using it, you see everything like you’re sim does in the game. Anything that you have recorded will be stored in your inventory and you can watch it later on the tv. The imaginary friend is a new creature in Generations. This creature with fancy pants, different shoes and a glowing light bulb above his head is very interesting. Kids can have them as a friend in their contacts (relationships), but they need to spend a lot of time with their doll. With you’re imaginary friend you can tell jokes or have a pillow fight (!). Thanks to the chemistry kit your friend can stop being unreal. Our sim dream changes. Different types of stories can affect the way that you’re sim sleeps at night. For example he/she/it heard spooky stories he/she/it will have nightmares. (Story told of course with a flashlight) One of the new objects is bunk beds. Kids and adults can use it. (If you haven’t read the last info there are 2 types of bunk beds – 1st that you can have a bed under a bed and the 2nd that you can have a sofa or a desk under the bed) Strollers of course are usable, don’t worry it’s not a decorative object. Tree houses also added in Generations. You’re kids can play pirates or whatever they do there. They can drop balloons with water and hang a pirate flag in the tree house Water slide is usable by kids, adult and so on (I think they mean the slide which you can see in the trailer, no slide for the pool) If you’re having a wild party, cops can interrupt it. They’re no real cops, they are just fueling he party with atmosphere only. Source: http://www.simprograms.com/29452/even-m ... ns-emerge/

Ninja potion sounds pointless if you got the eye of horus (which I think is a bit overpowered really). What is the Imaginary friend going to look like anyway? I read somewhere it looks like a robot....great

I feel like that's great information because it kinda confirms and clarifies a lot of things. Still wishing for more official announcement stuff. Maybe today?

I read somewhere that today or tomorrow people from simgoodie etc will be invited to a preview at EA and that they will only be allowed to write about it on tuesday. So I guess we have to wait until tuesday. Until then I'm taking a pause from Sims 3, otherwise I'll be bored of Sims 3 by the time I get Generations...

 Re: Confirmed Features in Generations
No new neighborhood????? I don't see how EA can get away with building new lots but not a new neighborhood - where in Sunset Valley is there room for new community lots? I really hope that's not true.
I'm excited that dating is back! I wonder if it will be like Nightlife's dating system? I didn't love that system but I like the idea of my sims going out on actual dates. Wait, no. No, that sucks now that the restaurants are rabbit holes. Boo.

 Re: Confirmed Features in Generations
Infinite Tias, I added everything that you listed except for the things that you couldn't translate. Infitie Tias wrote: There are no new rabbit holes, but EA added 10 new lots.. Wait a minute.. No new rabbitholes? We have new types of schools but no new rabbitholes? That makes me think that either this was mis-translated (no offense) or the new schools system was mis-translated (no offense).

I still want to wait for more offical word. It'll be today or tuesday. But either way, I am going to buy ambitions this spring break (one way or another!) and that'll be fun for a while!

 Re: Confirmed Features in Generations
I reckon the "new schools" system will be like the military school in TS1, where they are sent away to an unseen place, like a fake sub-neighborhood. Of course, there's the possibility they may introduce it as a real sub-hood.
